Best groomer we have ever used! I recommend them to everyone I know that owns a dog. My dog and my granddogters love going there and are so happy when we pick them up. The are even able to clip my crazy dogs nails. I have had 2 different vets send him home and tell me to give him meds before they would try again. They keep him busy so he doesn't even notice. During this Corona virus pandemic I needed a groomer for my Shih Tzu Gabby. I live in Cleveland Texas and would normally drive to Houston to a Groomer that I have used for 4 years where I previously lived. They were closed so I called around and found Dog Gone Stylin in Kingwood. Not only did Angel get me in the same day she was great , explained there services and grooming was perfect. Couldn't be more happier. Gabby looked great. Thanks to the whole team there who are working during this horrible time with the Corina virus. Gabby now has a new groomer. We will be going back. DO NOT take your dogs here!! I went and got my dogs nails cut and they totally hacked them off. I mean bleeding none stop. I called my vet friends and they said it's a "show cut" and that dogs are supposed to be sedated before getting that cut bc it's Like us getting our nails cut almost off!!! DO NOT take your dog there's. Please please. The lady didn't care at all when I called. She told me to put clear nail polish on it. My husband brought our dog here for grooming. We brought our own dog soap as it is prescribed to him for a skin condition and told them that's the soap we needed to use. When it came to picking up our dog they told my husband that they didn't use our soap but one similar to it. He mentioned that he didn't want to pay because that's not what was requested. He still had to pay even though they messed up. Not even a discount. Will not recommend this place to anyone since they choose what services to complete versus what is asked for. read more

I absolutely love this shop! Having grooming experience I always take into consideration that the dogs ahead of mine may not be as well behaved as my little angel, may be older, or even be their first groom. Knowing they take their time with my elderly dog and make special accommodations for her is something you can not possibly get at a name franchise or from a facility that the people don't care about the pets. If more owners took the time to explain the process I think it would cut out a lot of confusion. Anyway my elderly dog and two Huskies are not only excited when they get there they look amazing when they leave. We had an appointment today to get our 2 dogs groomed and were told to bring them in between 8 AM and 10 AM. We arrived at 9:45 and talked with Julie about how we wanted them cut and asked when they would be ready. We were told that there were 4 dogs ahead of ours, and they would be ready about 2:00 to 2:30. This seemed a little long, but we left them. Julie told us we could bring them back later, but we were already there. We waited until 3:00 and called about our dogs. We were told they would be ready around 4:30. We got there and talked with Lisa about the 6 hrs. 45 minutes that our dogs had spent at their grooming facility. As the review above stated, the owner tried to explain it as a grooming issue. After more discussion, she showed us the schedule board and said that there were seven dogs ahead of ours when they were brought in. We were told there were 4 dogs when we dropped off our boys. They groom the dogs on a first come first serve basis. In my opinion, they let other customers cut in line. Our little boys weren't happy with their treatment. read more

I have been bringing my Afghan Hound here since we moved to Kingwood 2 years ago. He is naturally a very shy and anxious breed. After trying numerous groomers and being disappointed, Dog Gone has always been very welcoming since day one and my dog Farid is very comfortable being there. I have been going to this awesome shop for about a year. My dog is always groomed to my liking. I am patient. I make my appointment and know that he will not be ready in one or two hours which is fine. It gives me a chance to take care of errands and other business. If you want a quick and rush job go someplace else then. I get what I pay for and have never been disappointed. The staff has always been nice to me. My two Miniature Schnauzers were getting groomed. My husband was the very first in line to get on the list which they start at 8:00 a.m. It was 12:25 p.m. and I decided to call them to see if they were done. The receptionist passed me on to the groomer. I wanted to know why -- since they were first in line -- they were not finished yet. She said it was going to be another hour and a half before they were done. During while she was letting me know this information --- the tone of her voice became very rude. I asked her at that point that i did not like the tone of her voice. She at that time --- hung up on me. I waited until they called and said that my dogs were finished --- which at that time was 1:30. When I picked them up I spoke with the owner to let her know I did not appreciate how her groomer spoke to me. She tried to explain the reasoning away by explaining to me of the grooming process. Now --- keep in mind --- that this was the second time that she has tried to explain the reasoning away because it happened the last time also. She informed me last time that it takes two hours for each dog. I thought that was a reasonable time. This time she tried to explain the reasonsing away and added more time onto the grooming process. The owner at that point told me that we need to look for another groomer and that she believed her groomer. I said fine and told her I would be writing this review. It is VERY sad that this has happened because I was completely satisfied with the grooming. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT DOG GONE STYLIN' IS VERY BAD. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE """CUSTOMER""" IS ALWAYS RIGHT. THEY MUST NOT NEED THE MONEY BECAUSE THAT IS $100 THAT THEY HAVE LOST ON A REGULAR BASIS.
