Everyone is really nice and they do a good job of making you feel comfortable. However: The entire process from start to finish is a bit of pseudo-science. You are first given a free book to read about decompression therapy and then are required to get an MRI to become a eligible patient. Turns out I had four herniated disks which just so happen to be eligible for decompression therapy. I was then quoted a figure of $7,000 for the entire 30 session process. Shortly afterwards I was exposed to dozens of alleged testimonials about how successful the process was. I figured that it would be worth the investment so I went ahead and started a payment plan with them. The process itself is a bit lackluster - you are literally laying down as a machine pulls at the bottom of your skull a centimeter or so for about 20 minutes. You are also given ice packs to take home with you and you're told multiple times to make sure to ice the neck and lower back area at least 5 times a day. For the most part, the pain started to go away although there were some times when I wake up with excruciating pain for a day which eventually went away. Fast forward 30 sessions later, and I noticed my pain started to return. However, the only thing that changed was that I was getting a bit lazy with the icing of my neck. And then it hit me, maybe it's the ice that is doing all the work and not the stretching. Either way - I asked for a copy of my statement for tax purposes and it turned out that $7k quote was a lie. I was charged $255 per session and my bill came out to $8,950 (~35 sessions). To summarize, nothing against the people that work here, but it seems sketchy. I wouldn't recommend unless you've tried surgery already and it didn't work.

I regret investing $7,000 to ultimately be in constant pain again. I want to update my original review because I feel it is important for anyone reading it today to know how my experience ultimately unfolded. When I originally wrote this review, I genuinely believed this treatment had changed my life. Before treatment with Dr. Gertner, I felt helpless, disconnected from my body, and had zero motivation. I was only 27 years old and had been living every day with chronic neck pain, joint and nerve pain, and constant fatigue. Despite sleeping 8 hours a night, my energy was nonexistent. I had seen countless specialists and chiropractors, desperately looking for answers, but none of them could pinpoint the cause of my symptoms. After being told repeatedly that because my blood work was normal, there was supposedly nothing wrong with me, I began to feel like I was crazy and slowly accepted that pain as my new reality. Then I found upper cervical chiropractic treatment. From my very first phone call with Dr. Gertner, I felt hopeful. He reassured me that he had heard these symptoms before and was confident he could help. After my consultation, I felt validated and believed I had finally found the answer I had been searching for. At the time I wrote this review, I truly believed I had my life back. I described waking up energized and with zero pain because that was genuinely how I felt at the time. Unfortunately, two years later, my experience has changed. I am now back to dealing with constant pain--the very symptoms I originally sought treatment for. After investing $7,000 and two years of my life into this treatment, it is incredibly disappointing to find myself back where I started. Looking back, I also regret overlooking what I now consider to have been red flags, including being asked for $5,000 upfront. At the time, I was desperate for answers and so hopeful that I had finally found something that would help that I didn't question it the way I wish I had. Every single one came off as a car salesman more invested in milking me for all my money than improving my health. I experienced shocking tactics from these "chiropractors" from free visits in exchange for 5 star reviews, to locking me into a payment plan for the next year of care (regardless of if I would respond to treatment), to charging me $300 for an xray before they would adjust me just to adjust me anyway after I refused.
