I paid ten dollars for them to scratch my brand new car. I called a different shell who told me they would take pictures and send them to corporate. However, when I showed up to this shell where I got my car washed the manager refused and said their machine "doesn't scratch cars". When we told her we had pictures bc it's a NEW car she got defensive and started telling us "well why do you have pictures to come to a car wash"????? This review is for the car wash only. I paid $12.99 for a car wash that includes drying and putting tire shine on the tires. When my car was done being washed, I went and parked to get my car dried. No employee came by for about 10 min to dry it. So my husband and I ended up drying it ourselves, so it wouldn't get water stains on the car. One of the guys eventually came and put tire shine on the tires. My husband went inside to complain to the Shell csr that no one came by to dry our car. She said you just needed to wait. He said I did wait for 10 minutes and no one came. So I just ended up drying myself because I didn't want water stains. The csr was asking the car wash guy what to do because she seemed clueless. She basically just said there is nothing we can do for you. Ugh! It always irks me when someone on the job is clueless on what to do when a customer is unhappy. This just tells me there is zero training in customer service satisfaction. The correct thing to do in this situation is say, "I'm sorry no one came to dry your car. To show our appreciation, please accept this coupon for a free car wash." Not, "there is nothing I can do for you." Message to the owner, please train your staff on customer service satisfaction when a customer is unhappy. And have your guys doing the car washes have a better system of some sort, so that this doesn't happen again where a car isn't dried in a timely manner. In addition, Gas prices are the lowest of any shell within 2 square miles and there is a 10 cents cash discount vs. credit which wasn't there before. read more

I've been over charged twice my last couple of visits. They lure you in with a lower price on the electric sign than they really charge, and I'm not talking about the 20c discount when you purchase a car wash. Lately they've been posting the 89 octane and 91 octane as the same price, but in reality they are not the same price. Rather than honoring the price they have displayed out front they argue with you and refuse to reimburse you the 10c per gallon price discrepancy. I have been putting gas in my vehicle since 1991 at this gas station, but no more. The Employee at this Shell Gas Station was Rude and Yelled at me, I had put out a Bowl of Dry Food for the Kittens and she came and in front of me and Threw it in the Trash can. I told her that she didn't have the authority to do that and She Ordered me out of the Station. I became fearful of my Safety due to her "Extreme Anger" this Employee was portraying. She is a heavy set woman and I became concerned about my Safety. I was worried that her actions could easily escalate. I did try calling the Manager to report this issue to him and to complain he is hard to find, the Employee told me he only comes in for a few hours a day and to call back. I am surprised that this Gas station would hire such Rude and mean people. She works the graveyard shift and this incident happened after midnight on 4/18/24. I will continue to try to contact the Manager, but I was able to report this incident today to the Shell Corporate office of the Shell Company located in the U.S.A. I will not be returning as a Customer! But I will continue to feed these kittens. I have already found homes for 4 of them and I hope to continue finding homes for the others one. I hope this review will help in getting this employee to be Trained on how to treat their Customer, so that no one Else will be Treated this Disrespectfully! read more

I pumped gas on April 14 and used my credit card and my card was used last here at this shell. 1 week later my car was used to pay for a donation of $5.00, next $300 for rock auto and then $450 for a surfboard. I went in for a car wash and couldn't dry my car. The attendent Alejandro was the biggest prick I've ever met. He argued with me for over 20 mins because he didn't believe me when I said there was a metal sign in the way, preventing me from moving forward to dry my car. He said that nobody has ever had a problem with the car wash, and I told him I didn't care about other people, I care about purchasing a car wash and being able to dry my car. Apparently, more people are saying they're not happy. Just take a look at the Yelp reviews! I posted a video in the Yelp photos of some poor guy not wanting to risk scratching his car. It was the same thing I did. The attendent showed me the sensors were working but you have to get extremely close to the metal sign. Again, not worth the risk. He tried giving me another cheaper car wash, but refused to refund me the difference from the one I purchased. Not worth it and I will be calling customer service. read more

Terrible service and the car wash doesn't work .. Don't waste your money the car wash doesn't work .. It's a joke ! I got stuck . Twice in 20 minutes and I called the clerk at 562-949-6092 to come out and reset the car wash and she said both times to go inside and she would give me a refund and both times I went inside she would not. USE THE CAR WASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! I attempted to use the Shell Gas car wash and when I pulled in the car rolled back a little bit before stopping and the whole wash stopped. My car was already wet. I backed out so that I could let the attendant know and asked if they could restart it. I was told that they cannot and that the manager would not be in for another 2 days (returning Monday) he said he was not authorized to give refunds or to give out "free car washes". I went through again and purchased ANOTHER car wash. The wash was definitely not worth $11. I returned on Monday to ask the manager, Blanca, for a refund and was told that they have a strict no refund policy. Blanca had a very unprofessional attitude and tone with me and earned her business this one star (which is one star too many). I do not recommend their car wash at all. AVOID USING YOUR CARD HERE!! THEY STEAL YOUR CARD INFO!! Pumped gas at this station on Sept 6th around 9am and used my debit card as credit card at the pump! An hour later my card info was used to buy disneyland tickets for $585, Home Depot and Superior Super Market. Bank called me to verify charges since they seemed unusual. I rarely use my debit card and tend to carry cash all the time, But that day since I was in a hurry I used my card. Ive gone to the car wash here a few times. The wait always seems so long but yesterday it really was bad. I waited 1.5 hours for a simple wash. I eventually had to walk up to the guy drying my car to tell him to stop and I needed to leave to an appointment they made me late for. They missed obvious dirty spots inside the car but I dont blame them that since I cut him short. I just wished they didn't go over the same spot several times when there are more important areas to focus on. From what I could see, most if not all of the guys drying the cars are SLOW and inefficient. I also got scratch marks on some of the polished black parts of my new car from their tools. It's a gas station that offers a bit of everything. They offer carwash and other utilities. The best part is that it's opened 24 hours and if you do not receive your receipt, the have some promotion. I like that they offer ice cream snacks and more. The restrooms are often dirty so I would recommend using it, unless its an emergency. read more

Ok. Now don't get me wrong, this is not the greatest Shell, but I have had nothing but good expiriences here at this shell. I stop by about twice a week for some gas and red bulls. One of the highlight of this station is Brian. He always has a smile on his face and will actually help you when you when you need help. I have never put air in my tires in my life, so I asked him for some help and he went straight outside and explained everything to me then he checked and filled my tires. He mainly works nights. One thing I can recommend is to stay away from this place during the day. The employee that works during that time, Brenda, is pretty bad. She honestly doesn't know ANYTHING and can be pretty rude. The other guy that works there, Ulises is ok. Pretty knowledgeable, only flaw is that he just looks frustrated all the time and looks like he just wants to leave all the time. The car wash has always worked perfect for me. All you need to know is how to use it. Go when Brian is working and he will explain how to use it perfectly. Now the over station is nice and clean. I just wish their gas prices were a little bit lower. The shell on passions and whittier is always about 6-10 cents cheaper. I come here though because it's on my way home from work and the car wash. read more

If I could give this place 0 for customer service I would! It's a gas station..... customer service is the only thing tgat separates them from any other gas station. You can't pat at the pump or car wash. You have to go in to pay for all services. If you get a discount on your gas.... you have to pay full price, pump your gas and go back in for your cash discount. It's actually a Shell gas station. Clean pumps and a decent little snack store. Also has an automated carwash. Although the car wash scratched up my ride when the arm came down. Trying to head east on Washington or south on Passons could be tricky depending on traffic. By the way it's still open. read more

I got ripped off here for a car wash. i got gas and it asked me if i want a car wash i clicked yes. the receipt never printer so i went to the carwash and put my debit card in and basically paid again for a carwash. when i went inside to ask for a refund they asked for receipt. i didnt have a gas receipt and the gas receipt doesnt show that i paid for a car wash anyway... lady there said she cannot find my receipt in her machine because she can only print 1 last receipt and a few people had already been there after me. She told me to call in a few days to talk to the manager Blanca who by the way was a total bitch when I finally talked to her. i filed a complaint on shell.com (everyone here should do that) but nothing was resolved because they couldn't reach the manager of shell. When I went back to asked they what happen they claimed my receipt had indicated a chip on my windshield that was why it spread to a crack . The "tiny" little dot on the tiny car on the receipt . I came here today 8/16/18 put gas in my car and paid for car wash, selected to $15.99 option. They took sooooo long to wash my car, I went on my break from work and stood there for about an hour when finally they brought my car to be dried. I purposely left $2 in the door cup holder and they took it. I ended up having to leave before they were done because I ran out of time, my car is full of water spots and they don't even give you an air freshener. Horrible service! Do not use their car wash! They don't use soap. Not only cheap but an offensive business practice. It was explained to me by the attendant that the soap is clear. I told the attendant there are no suds whatsoever so there is zero soap present. Another thing about this Shell is that any time it comes to receiving a refund, the attendants have given me and my wife the runaround. They say they are not allowed to refund and to come back at such and such day and time to speak with manager. Bunch of bologna. HORRIBLE!!! Came here to get my daughters car washed, we pull up to the line and we wait about 5 min for anyone to even come up to us and then when the guy finally decides to come up he doesn't say a word (when he was just talking to the man a head of us and laughing) so my daughter finally tells him what she would like he writes it out and hand her the ticket still not saying a word. We go inside to pay and she lets the lady know what happens and the owner steps in and says I'll talk to him and then my daughter says "worst thing is he was talking to the guy I front of us just fine" then the owner says "well if you want we can just stop the service since you're upset" with this horrible attitude and so I say "you just made it worse... it just would have been nice if he said how can I help you " but he didn't t even let me finish my sentence when he cut me off and said to the lady at the other register " just cancele the order, just cancel the order, we are denying service and walks out. My daughter called corporate and even though he is the owner she let us her know that they can shut him down cause they have had so many complaints just like this. where do I begin, this has got to be the worst service station in the state. we have been coming here for years because of convenience. They know us, they recognize us, they say hi to us, but when it comes to refunds. They don't remember anything about you. I'm about to contact the Better Business Bureau. their car wash is way overpriced. why would anybody pay $11 for a car wash at the station. you get a better car wash at the Shell station on the corner of Paramount and telegraph for only $7, the same one offered here at the station. the reason why I complain about the car wash, is it offers some special rain-x treatment at the end. however I noticed it doesn't work. So I let the manager know about it, and they say how do you know its messed up? and I say really, I've been coming here for years using the car wash I know when it doesn't work. I'd like my money back. All they say is we can offer you a dollar back. I told her really, we come here for milk, we come here for snacks, we come here for gas, and you only offer me a dollar?
