It's a quick and easy left (in a dedicated left turn lane) off of 395. Yay! No driving around some unfamiliar town peering out the window for a sign while either (a) practicing what you think may be Lamaze breathing so as to delay wetting your pants, (b) keeping the car in neutral as much as possible in a vain attempt to not run out of gas AGAIN, or (c) eating the fuzz/gravel/dog hair covered M&M you found under the seat in order to delay full blown hypoglycemia. Other than ice cream, this service station really does offer full service --- a fantastic assortment of snacks (of both the pre-New Year's resolution and post-New Year's resolution types), fabulous road trip attire of the hat and bandana variety, a well lit area to fill your car's tank AND a large, relatively clean restroom with a fully functioning and sturdy lock. That lock is a really good thing because the door opens up directly facing the front counter. Forget to lock it and you'll be giving the clerks something to scream about.

We looked and looked for the Hostess display, but there was none. All they had was their own brand and most of them were the powdered sugar type (which is the dumbest idea to try to eat while traveling - personally, neither of us want the impossible hassle of trying not to have the fronts of our shirts sugar dusted when we're traveling!). There were also, no 6 pack boxes of larger donuts and no display case of local Fresh donuts either. We settled for a bag of their brand of chocolate which was so disappointing. Moving on!

You'll smell like it if you're in there more than a few minutes. The real gem is the "taco lady" as we refer to her. BEST street tacos for a killer price. She makes the tortillas fresh in front of you...god bless America they are the best. She is very friendly and kind. There's a language barrier but nothing tacos can't conquer. We were told she either owns or owned a Mexican restaurant in Oregon (maybe Hermiston area) and for whatever reason she's here now. When I was pregnant I craved their tacos nonstop. We probably single-handedly provided record sales numbers for a few months straight. Now I have to go buy some tacos.

There's a automated car wash. The gas pumps have touch screens (sometimes they have deals/coupons on them). There's a 24-hr Convenience Store, Smitty's Paradise. The store has a juice/smoothie bar (Tropical Juice), and there's also a coffee area (called Island Coffee). And there is also a Quizno's restaurant attached. So yeah, this is a place to multi-task for sure!
