As soon as you drive in, this magnificent (perspective of a kid) playground appears to the left. It's even called the Kids Kingdom. My kids had a blast. Even my 20 month old had a wonderful time. We brought some PIZZA, ate on one of the nice picnic tables within Kids Kingdom. However, I must admit I had a specific intent for checking out this park; disc golf!! There is an 18 hole disc golf course. There are plenty of trees, dog legs (left and right turns... not actual legs of dogs), and water hazards to make it interesting. There is a nice variety of long and short throws. The tee pads were extremely easy to find; however, the baskets from the tee pads weren't as easy to find. If I had the map, that I attached to this review, from the beginning it would have been a different story. I skipped one basket because I assumed the drive was a little longer. I ended up throwing it 3/4 of the way to the next basket. No worries... I'll know better next time. I didn't know what PAR was for the baskets, so I assumed everything was PRO PAR and ended with 1 over for the 18 holes. I know there is a lot of room for improvement. I will definitely take my family to this park again!! My wife also wanted me to mention on this review that the bathrooms were nice and right next to the playground. My 6 year old didn't realize the bathrooms were so close and found a tree out in the distance. You'd think he was born in a barn or something....

It also has an indoor bathroom facility with concession stand along with a covered picnic area. Relative to the baseball fields, they are in excellent shape with a well maintained dirt infield and a nicely grassed outfield (no patchy rock filled outfield). Dugout areas have protective fencing with nice benches with separate spectator bleachers for each field. There are numerous adult and children leagues running throughout the spring, summer and fall at this park with sign up info posted near the fields. Similar situation with the single soccer field that also is in excellent shape with leagues running continuously through the warm months. The bathrooms and covered picnic areas are also exceptionally clean and very modern where the township has staff maintaining it on a daily basis. Overall a very nice park where i am very happy to see where some of my tax dollars have been well spent. Really a gem of a sports park that West Bloomfield should be quite proud of.

The…read morecomplex is really a first rate baseball complex with a dozen fields with each field being fully fenced in, both team dugouts fenced in providing safety for the kids, nice manicured infield and grass outfield that is in good shape. The fields/complex are well managed and kept in excellent shape which is a far cry from the stone fields I played on when I was a a kid in Flint. Aside from the fields themselves, the Commerce Little league has been around for a long time where the quality of the play, coaches and instruction is superior to all the other leagues in the area as evidenced from all the state title teams that have come through this league. I have been a long time fan of this complex/league where my kids played and I coached here thirty years ago and now my grandkids are starting to play here. It really is kind of cool when you have an opportunity to be part of a complex/league that has become generational like this and gives me a great deal of satisfaction to see this continue with my sons/daughter-in-laws now taking their children to the games. If you are looking for a baseball league for your young kids and want to see them actually learn the sport from knowledgeable and caring coaches than you need look no further than this park/league. Players had to get to fields early just to get the field in shape, set the bases (that they were paid to do). Then the township notified us that they were upping our monthly "rental" of the fields by 50%. Thousands per month. USELESS people running this department period. I would advise any league from ever playing there.

Cute little park with some walking trails…read more This park isn't too far away from my family's house. We've visited this nature preserve a few times when dropping by to see the in-laws. It's not an overly impressive park, but it's clean, well-maintained, has nice walking/biking trails and updated playground/playscape equipment for the kids. It's a nice spot for taking a walk or riding bikes, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing color. It's super quiet and seems pretty safe. At least no one ever litters here!

Nice baseball centric park located in Springfield Township. At the heart of the complex are four…read morewell maintained ball diamonds. The outfield grass is thick and cut to proper length unlike the rock pit I played on when I was a kid growing up in Flint. Infield is nicely groomed and being well maintained where you can tell it is being dragged on a regular basis. The one negative though is that it appears to be a crushed stone field versus dirt. This is OK for the young kids but I can see it being a bit more problematic with older teens where hard hit line shots can leave you being a bit gun shy about bad bounces when it hits one of the small stones. A bit of personal preference here on my part where a well maintained dirt infield or a combination of groomed grass/dirt would definately be better. Last thing to note about the fields are that the player benches are located outside of the diamond behind the fence. The positive is the kids are protected by line drives but the negative is there is no separation between the players and their parents allowing them to co-mingle with the players which is a definite distraction during the game and a little bit of an annoyance to the coaches. Aside from the ball diamonds there would also appear to be a concession building with bathrooms which is a big positive. The concession building was not open during my grandsons game and not sure if this is normal or a result of the Covid virus safety pre-cautions. In any event definately better than many of the parks that are lacking this type of infra-structure. Overall a nice facility where it actually makes you feel good when you see some of the better things that our tax dollars are paying for relative to family/community activities. Facilities like this were not available where I grew up and I am very pleased as both a tax payer and long time Oakland county resident to see Oakland county incorporate this into their annual budgets. It's a quiet, no-fuss place where you can get in some laps and clear your head. The track is a standard 1/4 mile, so I aimed for 4 laps this time (for a full mile), but some fine rain cut me off at 3. Still worth it though -- the fresh air felt great, and there were just a few others walking, so it never felt crowded. There was a game going on during my visit, so the parking lot was fuller than normal, but the track itself was almost empty. We've been coming to Wisnor for years, and it's always well-kept -- grass cut, clean, and ready for whatever pace you're bringing that day. Highly recommend it if you're local and looking for a chill, open space to move your body.

Unfortunately, the park had to shut down about 30 minutes after we arrived due to weather, but they handled it wonderfully by giving us a voucher to come back, plus an extra voucher for mini golf. The pricing was very reasonable, especially with all there is to do. We enjoyed the mini golf and loved that they also have a tree climbing course designed for younger children. It's a fantastic place for families, and I really appreciated that the courses are accommodating for people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and skill levels. We can't wait to come back and finish our adventure! Highly recommend!
