This shell gas station is in a prime location in Sacramento, just across the street from Arden Fair Mall. Their gasoline prices are a little higher than the other Shell gas stations in the other part of the city. But I think it is understandable. I used this gas station and purchased it from the convenience store many times because of its location. The gas station is always clean, and the pumps are operated whenever I'm here. They have an excellent food truck that is usually here. Make it easy for me to get my gas and food simultaneously. I like the seating area next to the food truck when they are here. The convenience store here has most of the snacks I want in stock. The workers are fast and reliable too. This shell gas station is at the corner of two busy streets. But the entrances are designed very well and widely open. Make it very easy to go in and out every if you're driving a bigger vehicle or truck. read more

Came in today after a long hot day at the fair. We were so happy to see they had Frazil flavored ice drinks. Flavors were Mango and Blueberry. We all had the Mango flavor and it was soo taste, not too sweet. Perfect for a hot day. Price for large was $3.50 when we came in. Don't come here for a car wash when you want to pay cash. I wanted the $12 one which I always do, but the machine ate one of my dollar bill and ended up inserting $13. Didn't wanna leave the car and ask for help because there was a car waiting behind me. I was thinking I'll just try to get refunded later. I went inside and asked the people in the cashier for my dollar back and told them what happened. Instead of apologizing and refunding me back they had the nerve to throw a fit. I asked nicely in the beginning, but it threw me off. Mind you, I'm a regular meaning I gas up and buy something once a week and wash my car once a month. That dollar is a hard earned money and I already spent a lot in that station and this how they took care of a regular customer? I'm never coming back. read more

There are a few reasons why anyone would rate a gas station well, if at all. These include location, convenience and the price at the pump. I'd throw in customer service as well, but that seems to be a relic of the past when the attendant actually came out from behind the counter. This Shell station doesn't meet any of my criteria and I only visited as a matter of necessity because the Costco station was under construction. The price here was a full ten cents higher per gallon than many other stations I've visited in the immediate area. While centrally located, it's not easy to access except when heading eastbound on Arden. Throw in another annoyance: on both my visits I've been harassed by men wandering the lot looking for people who want their windshields repaired. I don't care if it's charged to my insurance or not - I'll let you know. With all that said, the gentleman behind the counter was very nice when I went in to pay. Came here to get gas and all went smooth. I paid $3.19 for premium unleaded @ credit card price. I thought this price is very comparable to the higher end gas companies. Inside of the convenience store area was pretty clean, and they have your normal convenience store products. From what I can see all was pretty well stocked up. I like this Shell because it is close to home. A bit more expensive that other gas stations within the five mile radius but it's in a prime location (across the street from Arden Mall). There is usually never completely full, so I like that I can get in and out pretty quickly. The mini mart has all the essentials (energy drinks, sodas, water, snacks, etc) and the bathroom is decent. My favorite part: the car wash! For $5 you can get your car washed in the drive thru wash (takes about 5-10 mins). read more

I stopped for gas yesterday and there were a group of guys going around claiming it's Customer Appreciation and offering to wash your windows.. They're not with Shell. They're glass people that wanna rack up business. And it wasn't like they weren't seen.. This Shell allows this, I guess. Not to knock on the hustle but it was hella lame. 1.) You wanna pump your gas and go. 2.) I let one dude fix a rock chip and it sucked.. not to mention I had several rock chips but he only wanted to fix one. 3.) ok, first of all overpriced like most shell / chevron stations. I went to get air, asked the dude inside to turn it on after I filled up for $47, which is about $5 more than Costco down the street. He reluctantly turned it on. I filled up two tires that were low, went back in to ask to get it on again, he said ok. I went back, it was not on, I waited a minute, went back in and threw my arms up, the guy replied "oh yeah" and turned it back on. Did he realize I just chose his gas station for the air, and spent $5 extra for it? Damn this place, last time I go here. Customer service does not meet the price paid. Dont go here, there are a few other stations that cost less right down the street. read more

The drive-thru car wash lasted less than 3 min. Water was sprayed onto the car, then the rolling brush came by to hit the car & I slowly drove underneath the fan machine to dry. They jipped me off cause it turned off when I was halfway done and cut me off short w/ my dryer time, leaving me w/ a spotty car. So, had to dry the rest of the car when I was driving to places on the freeway. Paid $7 and it was blah...!! Could've just sprayed my car w/ a water hose @ home. read more
