Arguably, a store that sells shells in a seaside town is one of the most touristy places you could visit. But if you're gung ho on grabbing a conch in the Conch Republic, this is about as good as far as you're going to find. Prices were not as high as I thought they would be, and they have quite a selection and variety of shells, see stars, shark teeth, and other ocean treasures from around the globe. The cashier was an interesting guy, who tried out some of his stand-up comedy routine on me. Nice kid, but it went a little too long, and I sort of just wanted to get away. Finally did. The store is also connected to adjacent retail places that sell T-shirts, art, stickers, and other assorted bric-a-brac and accoutrement. We picked up a few things next-door and tried to buy them at the shell place, and were simply directed to the other cashier next door. No muss no fuss. We had a small world moment with that cashier, as it seems he was from the same suburb and which Mrs. and I work. Spent a few moments comparing landmarks and stories, smiled our goodbyes, and left the store with assorted dead sea life, a couple of stickers for the camper, and a really cool Guy Harvey T-shirt for me. Whether you're shopping for your beach house, or for your apartment balcony that just needs some kind of sea star wind chime decoration thing... This place has it. Definitely worth the stop for cheap gifts to take back from your trip to Key West. read more

Beautiful store. Looked clean; however, I bought a necklace for my daughter-in-law, and she said when she opened the box there were live bugs inside. They had wings so they may have been termites. Very embarrassing for me, and she was a little revolted by the sight of live bugs. Just wanted the owner of the shop to know this and maybe do some pest control. read more

I was trying to buy a manko shark tooth they advertised it for 49.99 with multiple in the shelf when I asked him for the one for 49.99 they had a full shelf all are marked 75.99 when asked about special all they can state is that's the price and they can't change it and refused to honor the advertised price when asked for a manager, the rude lady came up took the price off of the shelf and said that all of them are 75.99 and then when I told her that that is not proper, she stated a BBB won't do anything because it is a personal business. BUYER BEWARE.!!!! Beautiful shells. MOST OF THEM NOT FROM THE KEYS!! Horrible customer service tho. Rude salesperson. One of the shells didn't have a price tag so she told me I need to get one with a price. Asking if I would might have been a bit more polite and was combative when I questioned another item. Shouldn't be working with the public. read more

The store is nice and it has many cute things things including shark teeth and a large variety of shells. Met this rude cashier leaving the store, I think he needs to cut his attitude and nails. If you can't smile every now and then at work, stay home don't bring your misery to me. read more

Sign said "special $8.99 conch" picked up conch and took it to the counter. Guy charged 13.99 and refused to honor what the sign said. Took him back to the sign and pointed out that it says 8.99. He still refuse, then he took the sign and threw it behind the counter. Worst customer services and misleading sales sign. read more
