He called within a couple of hours, on a weekend, and gave us several quotes. He walked through the details of each quote with us, and made sure we understood EVERYTHING. Including why rates vary, what the claims process is like, how much making a claim will cost us in the long run and how to balance that with the deductible. etc. He was detailed and thorough. He stayed on the phone with us for about 2 hours, but never tried to hard sell us. He was willing to spend that time with us even though we weren't his clients yet. I was super impressed and we decided to go with his agency. Then a couple of weeks ago a man in my mom's church had his house burn down and Scooby is his agent. My mom told me that Scooby has been personally handling his claim and making sure he is taken care of. Scooby has shown us the best customer service of any insurance agent we have had. I highly recommend him.

Terrible customer service. We moved last May and in October they reached out about a premium (from…read morethe house we sold in JULY) that wasn't getting pd and if the mortgage provider was the same as we were at risk of our premium getting cancelled. When I let reminded them that we sold that house in July and that it was concerning that the premium was still active... crickets. We also cancelled insurance on a car we no longer had, they never cancelled... several months later we had to call and cancel from insurance company as we were still paying the premium. We emailed our grievances and provided emails showing proof we had asked to have that vehicle removed. They did not even respond to that email. In talking about our policy I made sure our agent knew about the premium we had been paying and she just let us know that when she checked, that vehicle had been cancelled already (facepalm- yes, we told you already we had to cancel it ourselves). She basically just ignored that grievance with no resolution or accountability- and definitely did not offer to make it right. Had multiple agents over two years that did not seem competent. Group seems poorly ran with all of the turnover. Most recent agent, Shira was rude and only gave us a couple weeks notice that our current plan was going up several thousand. After getting us a new quote with a different company she asked us to take pics of property, as our contract would have to go to underwriting for approval, and if we wanted to try and bundle auto. We of course told her yes to the bundle and the next day told us we couldn't bundle as the company we were going with didn't have auto (as our agent we felt she should have already known that). When we asked her to run auto for a new quote elsewhere since it was expiring she let us know it would be the following week as she was busy and was running other quotes for other people. We ended up going with a different group and let her know through email with appropriate time, she never confirmed or emailed back. We again emailed to make sure they received it and crickets. We did confirm online it got cancelled through travelers but dang... how unprofessional. There were various other things that happened but the manner in which business was conducted was why we went elsewhere.

I cannot recommend Wheat State Insurance enough! Nobody looks forward to dealing with insurance…read morematters, but the agents at WSIG make insurance matters easy and enjoyable. I have been with Jessica for years and there was recently a time where she was unavailable. I had help from Kennton and the service did not change. He was friendly and had my information faxed to the tag office before I even got there! I will continue to refer them, not because of perks that benefit me, but because the service and treatment is commendable and it's just that good.
