The service here is truly excellent. Definitely a hidden gem. They have jammed pack line up every morning. They are always full with orders. For those customers demanding service right on the spot and thinking they're the only customer should re-evaluate giving a negative review here. The people here know what theyre doing and i can see why they have a flood in orders. So don't expect right away they will do your garment order first. One of the best shoe repairs I've ever been to! These friendly people are a genuine pleasure to deal with. I bring all my luxury pieces here and have always been satisfied with the results as well as the price. I brought them my husband's favourite Gucci slippers, that were literally destroyed, to get them repaired, but ended up only replacing the soles! (leather dyeing was free of charge!) And the shoemaker, who is a true artist, made my husband's terribly worn (I swear I wanted to throw them into trash) slippers look almost brand new. The quality of his work is impeccable! Would definitely recommend. They will save you a loooot of money compared to buying a brand new pair of shoes. read more

I would give a negative star if I could. The guy ignored me first. Then refused to give me a quote after I described what I need, which is to simply patch a sole on the bottom of my boots to prevent slipping, and he insist on me bring in the boots then give me a quote and show me materials. Brought Birks in for cork repair plus putting on 1/2 soles. I'd probably give them another shot if it is still the most convenient place next time I have a shoe repair. Good + Brought them in on Wed night and said they'd be ready Thu night + Problems (staple coming up through sole) were dealt with quickly + It seems like a good repair. ??? +/- Cost was $45.03 Bad - When I came Thu night to get them, they obviously weren't done because I had to wait 20 mins - Sure, they fixed the problems quickly (twice) but they seemed to be the type of problems that would never happen in the first place - I was debating whether to pay cash or VISA for the balance of my bill ($25.03) - he said cash is better - I gave him $30 in cash and he gave me $4.97 (not $5) in change read more

When I picked them up , he wanted another $20, plus tax??. When I told him that i was told $25 + tax. he said I was a bad customer? . Extremely rude, shoddy work and expensive to boot. Horrible experience. I paid about $160 to have 2 boots re-soled with rubber lining. First, he did not have them ready even though I went several days later than the date he gave me. Had to wait 20 minutes for him to finish up. Didn't apologize. Second, he lost one of the insoles and I had to go pick it up from his shop. Didn't apologize. Third, 3 months later, the glue came apart on the sole and gravel was getting stuck between the layers. When I took them in, he accused me of bringing in work he did last year (he said the work looked old- well, that's your own terrible workmanship). When I asked about another part of the sole that wasn't holding up, he got very defensive, but his English was not good so I couldn't understand. He turned out to be Korean and we were talking in Korean the rest of the time. He spoke "down" to me in an insulting way, and when asked why he was doing this, he said "because you are young." When I told him about his past mistakes, he raised his voice to me and told me I should understand. He quickly realized he was really in the wrong, but still just told me he'll fix it, and never once apologized. He treated me like I was being an annoying brat. He made shooing motions with his hands and told me to leave. It was the most insulting transaction that I ever paid $160 for. Made my old boots like new the other day! He resurrected my 4 year old boots :) I love my boots, and all my friends thought that they were brand new. He does a FANTASTIC job if you are willing to invest a little in your shoes. Yes, it may seem like it is a little pricey to repair an old pair of shoes, but in the long run I have saved a lot every time I have taken something in. He has always been kind to me, but I have stood in line and seen others speaking to him rudely. I have also seen frustrated customers who have forgotten their ticket stub, but I don't blame the guy- he can't possibly memorize everyone's shoes. So if you go to him, make sure you do NOT lose the little card stub. I know it is easy to lose in my purse, but now I just put in my wallet right away. I have been going to him for years, and it is difficult to find a shoe repair in general, and he has always done a great job. Once again, some things cost a little, but i look at it as an investment for quality repairs. read more

Took my shoes to get my heals and soles fixed along with my wife's boots. He did an outstanding job with fixing my wife's boots. The zipper needed to be fixed along with the heels. So I brought my wife's high heel that broke and he was able to fix that as well. The heel and soles on my shoe look amazing, it's like getting a new shoe with out having to spend hundreds of dollars. A few coworkers and friends recommended this place. A word of caution, he doesn't speak much English so it's hard to understand. He seems a bit brash but aside from that, the quality is excellent. It isn't cheap, but I personally don't mind that because I'm one who goes for quality over quantity. Especially in these economically strenuous times, I'd rather pay for a great repair than buy new shoes over and over again. Especially for my wife's Via Spiga boots and Prada high heels. I had to pay for parking at this mall, he mentioned that he'd be validating parking in the new year so that's a huge plus. read more

I had a terrible experience with this shoe repair. I asked him to fix the top part of a heel on my shoe and he ended up fixing the bottom part. When I told him that wasn't what I asked for he said it was and refused to hear me out. I was being very polite, but he just walked away from me! My husband and I have been going to this shoe repair for years even though he was a bit prickly, but now we will never go back. He also had a young girl who was there with him and she was just as rude as he was. They should think about how their customers are their bread and butter and treat them with respect. read more

Don't go there it is a rip off!!! When I brought my shoes (3 pairs), the guy made me pay $60, he did not mentioned that it was a deposit... when I picked up my shoes he made me pay $90 more!!!! I ended up paying $150 for three pair of shoes, which is actually more than the cost of the 3 pairs combined!!! I went in with 3 pair of shoes to be re-soled and re-heeled. He told me it was a "Special Today" - $40. I was with a friend and we thought that was great, so I gave him 40 dollars and said I would pick them up on Friday. So when I went back he told me that I owed $117 more and I did not know why. Both my friend and I thought that the price was only $40. He did not make it clear that was a deposit only and on my receipt the writing was illegible. He was really rude when I tried to ask him to explain and where was his price board was. Anyway I am not paying him for my shoes I will chalk the 40 dollars up to experience but I will write a letter to the province and will have the City check his facilities for any infractions. Please do not take your shoes there. This is highway robbery and he should not be operating. read more

This business is terrible!!! Don't ever go there with expensive shoes... one of the vendors that work there just might try to keep them. That's what happened with my 500$ boots. He wouldn't give them back until I brought the security guard. And he was so rude to me telling me to "Go away" even though I offered to help him search for the boots when he said that he couldnt find it. He was screaming at the security guard too. Then he tried to charge me 65$ when I was promised it was only ~40$ when I gave my shoes in for repair. Thankfully the security guard was there so his scam didn't work. Absolutely the worst experience ever! I would rank this below 1 star if I could! I brought in a pair of boots to Sheppard Shoe Repair because of their convenient location at Yonge and Sheppard to have my heels fixed for the first time. The store owner, an older Korean gentleman who looked to be in his 50's, told me that the shoes be ready in two days. And so I went in two days and he couldn't find my boots anywhere in his tiny store. And when I say "tiny" I really do mean tiny. The entire shop is about the size of your average medium-sized bathroom at home. He kept telling me to come back in another two or three days because he'd ask his helper to look for them. And so I came back not one but an additional TWO times to the same song and dance about how he couldn't find my boots and yet again told to come back. I asked the store owner if he ever takes the shoes or work home with him but he assured me he keeps all his work in the shop. So I suggested that I could help him look for my boots because the store was so small and I was already on my THIRD visit. The store owner told me that that was impossible and that he would continue to look for them on his own time. I asked if he could look for them right then but he said he had other repair orders that were due and would literally SHOO me away when another potential customer came through his doors. I'm a very patient person but that was INCREDIBLY insulting to me! I'm also a paying customer and had already made TWO additional trips out of my time from school and work to pick up MY property. It was at this point I asked if he had lost my boots. I didn't think a repairman would LOSE shoes that were brought in for repair. He claimed he had never lost a pair of shoes in his life. This turned out to be a blatant lie after a quick google review search of his shop. Finally, I had to bring in security with me around the FOURTH visit to pick up my boots I went in because he spoke to me in an angry, condescending tone. The mall security told us that this was definitely not the first time that there has been an incident at this shoe repair shop and re-confirmed that lost shoes were common with this store. He never once apologized for losing my boots. Instead he kept trying to destroy the pick-up stub in order to eliminate any proof he ever possessed them. When I asked for compensation for my lost boots he asked for a receipt. I showed him a photocopy of the receipt. He demanded to have the original receipt because according to him I was trying to scam him with "photocopies"... He thought I photoshopped the receipt because of the high price and would not even give me back my $20 cash deposit. He offered me $80 store credit and was baffled when I kept refusing this store credit. As if I really wanted to bring him more of my shoes and boots for him to lose and accuse me of being a thief... The store owner then would not even return my cash deposit unless I would sign or agree to taking a measly $80 store credit (his original offer was $50 store credit) for my boots that originally retailed for $200 from Nordstrom's. When I demanded I wanted my compensation to be cash he flipped me off and told me to "sue him". And so the following day, I prepared everything I would need for small claim's court and was going to serve him before his wife finally got him to back down and compensated me for the boots but initially wanted me to sign a disclosure contract citing I would not write or communicate bad reviews of their store - which I clearly did not sign. Read other reviews online and this wasn't the first time he's lost shoes brought in for repair. According to security, this wasn't the first incident that was reported to them as well. I had a key cut on Sunday. He charged me $30 as it had a notch on the key. He said if it doesn't work, he would refund our money. We tried the key and it didnt work. We went back with the key and receipt. After arguing with the Asian owner for 20 minutes, he gave $15.00 and tore up the receipt.....he is a scammer...don't get any keys cut there. read more
