The statement is very funny. You will see descriptions like. Example MAY 13 calling the other party conversation for 30 mts cost $120 Send letter to the other party cost $80 Review documents from other party $200 Going for representation to court $800 Etc. And so on. He will connect with the other party lawyer to try to do the best to get in circles and make things longer to milking your account faster and ask for more deposits. I remembered making a second deposit and in more than 4 times being in court not even the last name of my child were changed. The arrangement for paying child support was exorbitant high. I didn't see a really interested on my needs. At the end I decided to dropped him off. Cut his services and represent my self on court. Because I knew what I wanted I was able to speak directly to the judge and the first thing I asked was my kids last name change it. Immediately the order was honored. Simple things that never got fixed with a lawyer firm. I definitely waste my money. Sometimes I even thinking to opening small claims asking for percentage of my money back because I pay for services that never accomplished anything and advance me nowhere on my case. That was my personal experience. Now I'm happier than before because even that I don't have 50/ 50 custody with my children I Decided to get along with the mother of my kids to prevent repercussions on them. I got to see them whatever I want. Spend quality time and my obligations are not expensive like when I had legal representation. I also did not communicate much or run the bill up and provided the core docs efficiently. And so this was just a matter of mismanagement of the case (imo). We would agree that my attorney would complete a…read morecourt filing, and then after my attorney would file the agreed upon document with the courts (usually costing me several thousand dollars), several weeks later, Ms. French would unnecessarily submit the same filing on my ex-wife's behalf, and also bill her for it, costing my ex thousands of dollars as well. If my ex-wife had been reasonable at all during the divorce process, I would have let her know that her attorney's actions were costing her thousands of unnecessary fees, but at the end of the day, she got what she deserved, with the judge ruling on every motion for support, legal fees, etc. they filed being rejected. Ms. French is absolutely a dishonest person (it was my ex's second attorney; her first one fired her as a client, so maybe Ms. French and my ex deserved each other).
