I always try and repair or replace things with the original components installed at the factory, unless I find a better solution or if the components installed by the OEM continues to fail - I definitely don't want a hodgepodge of parts installed across like storage compartments in my RV so I usually spend as much time that's required looking for the correct part and that's the case here. The flashing on my home was partially dug into the fill dirt surrounding my foundation. When I dug this dirt out to install a French drain, the metal flashing was found rotted at the level of the dirt. They did come out and cut the flashing above the level of the rot, but it is not uniform with the circumference of my home. Thusly, it looks unsightly and unprofessional. I am complacent with giving one star, because I have not yet had any other issues, but it's saddening to have been through this; they simply do not care about their customers.
