This is one of the classiest restaurants with old western charm you will find. The decor is charming. The Open Range is within the historic Sheridan Inn. The food is outstanding and the servings are huge. The service is excellent. We took all of Jessica"s recommendations and were so grateful for her suggestions. Her personality and knowledge of the menu, drinks and the wine list made for a great dinner. I highly recommend and will certainly return the next time I am in Sheridan.

Everything! Love the town and the inn. They're super accommodating, have amazing breakfast, and are so welcoming. You will love it! Enjoy! There is a fabulous Mexican restaurant downtown. I haven't had time to review yet, but will try to. Sheridan Inn, Mexican dinner and my love! Perfect.

While we did not stay at the hotel we did have dinner they and take a walk around. The service and food was phenomenal. Kaci the general manager and Amanda our server really made our night by taking the time to get to know us while we dined. We cannot wait to go back there again and stay at the hotel next time. I'd recommend you do the same. Oh PS they have a nice wine list and the prices are more than palatable. Elk dinner was mouth watering, not even a drop of sauce was left. The berry cobbler was a highlight as well.

This is a very special place. There's a ton of history and it's quite unique. The rooms are also super clean, comfortable and spacious. If you're in town, you should stay here overnight. What an experience!

Lovely place with lots of history and comfortable clean rooms. Breakfast was nice by a real wood fire!

As part of a major tour company which brings in a group of 50 every day of the summer for lunch, let me tell you fellow Yelpers, you are making a great choice stopping by for a meal at the Inn. The service we receive daily from the staff for launch, Susan, Leslie, Max and others, is first rate. From the various, tasty sandwich choices, to the homemade, remarkable potato chips, to the unique Russian cream dessert, our guest continually rave about the quality of the food, the grandeur of the historic Inn, and the memorable rosewood bar. Kudos to the Inn's staff for making our daily lunch spot a highlight of our tour day! We only wish we had a chance to stay and experience a night where so many legends have laid their heads through the years.

It would be hard not to like the states here. They also have a large bar area and a decent appetizer selection. Great for dinners!

Not super appealing when you're having breakfast, which wasn't bad, also nothing to write home about either, but it's free so meh. The fridge was barely cold and the freezer door was broken, the bathroom was spacious and nice enough, however the disgusting curtains splattered with some unknown rusty colored liquid and the massive holes in them were insane. How have those not been replaced?? The indoor fountain was a nice touch, the empty Taco Bell sauce packet, pill bottle and other miscellaneous garbage floating in it was not. All in all, I didn't pick the hotel, but I certainly wouldn't pick it again. Plenty of other similarly priced hotels in the area that are much nicer.

Everything could improve. This place needs to be condemned. Rusting a/c, filthy carpets, holes in…read morethe wall, water stains, moldy smell, Non-smoking room reeks of cigarette smoke. Here for one night but making a note to never return! One good thing I can mention, new granite counter tops in bath room. This place is a time capsule of poor taste. Creepy, creepy, creepy! Now-for my fiancé's review, (please note he served in the army and is fully retired.) He thought the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet and the shower-head had great pressure-so for him, his review is 3.5 stars. Please note too, he has no ability to smell! He also thought the breakfast was awesome b/c you got two kinds of meats and fried potatoes LOL. For me, the eggs were watery, the sausage was cheap and I never eat fried potatoes. I would have loved 1/2 n 1/2 I could pour in my coffee instead of 6 packages of individual creamer and I would have loved a bread choice other than a honey wheat. So there you have it, the Venus and Mars review.
