Most of our shopping was in the men's wear, but they had a marvelous selection for both men and women. The collection of unique dress shirts made us most happy. We bought three John Lennon dress shirts. One was a gift for my grandson and the other two were for my partner. Everyone loved the quality and the fun details. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful during my two visits. Stop in and find yourself some quality clothing or accessories. You are worth it!

The sales person though, this guy is cheerful enough but he redefines the very idea of a pushy salesman. You can't really browse the store without him pulling something off of the rack and getting you to try it on. I might have been inclined to stay longer and buy something, but this guy is just too intense. My wife pointed out a toy teddy bear on the top shelf, sitting on a rocking chair with a pipe in its mouth. A cute looking toy bear representing the stereotypical habits of an elderly gentleman. The conversation with the sales person quickly steered to smoking. It was the sales persons opinion that smokers were "nothing more than filthy addicts" and that "nicotine was a drug." Fair enough, I said, but then I asked "Do you drink alcohol?" "Well, yeah" he responded "but I'll only have a beer, say, with a meal." Interesting how the human race will always justify their actions while criticising others.

Caress the shiny Italian leather shoes feel the pure soft woollen jumpers (sweaters... For my American friends) touch the designer shirts that won't see you coming! Cuff links, ties and belts are also available. Yes this is my kind of store. The salesman was extremely helpful and I tried a variety of jackets on for a semi formal function. I wanted something smart that could be dressed down later after the event. The fellow brought out several jackets and we matched several shirts that were on sale. He was so helpful that I bought the items and wore them that night. Now would you believe I was only on the left side of the shop. On the right side was ladies wear. I love a clothing place that the salesmen are really interested in helping you. I also value when they know their clothing and talk about the sizes of shirts, trousers, jackets both in metric and imperial measurements.

Always a bargain can be found here and the quality of clothing is quite good…read more Can you imagine I needed a complete new outfit with 10 minutes to spare as I was suppose to be at a casual staff function. The day had been a stinker and I had manned a barbecue for part of the day. A bathroom wash and spray of deodorant only goes so far! I walked into this shop and the Manager was very obliging and assisted me in my purchases. I said I needed an outfit that is colour co ordinated, not too tight (i am a larger fellow), modern and stylish yet at the same time casual. The lass was so helpful that I not alone walked out of the shop wearing all new clothes but bought an extra outfit just in case I needed to change again. Mind you I am one to change three times a day! I just get bored of the clothes and the people who know me when I travel can say I have a good range of clothes and need to wash clothes everyday. I just like that crisp smell of laundered clothes.

The new H&M store in the Pitt St Mall is enormous!! I've been to the store at Macquarie Centre a…read morecouple of times, and have bought a number of items from a top to a bikini to thongs, but wasn't that impressed with the selection - there wasn't that much that grabbed my attention, plus it's such a cramped shop. That's completely different at the Pitt St Mall shop, with all of the huge ground floor plus much of the second floor being devoted to women's clothing alone, with easily twice of the floor space at Macquarie. The aisles are also wider, there's so many more eye-catching displays, and so much was so tempting to try on. Or not try on, given the huge queues for the change rooms (just like at Macquarie Centre) - it's probably easy to take it home and try on in comfort, then return (within 30 days) if you don't like it (well, I'm sure that's what the receipt mentioned). I made it as far as the Home section, where there were lots of great cushions, knick-knacks and summery bags. Most of it was organised by theme rather than item (so the cushions were scattered around), making it difficult to just look at cushions, say, but easy to see what goes together. I didn't make it as far as the top floor with men's and children's wear. Tip: Rather than queuing for the register at the ground floor, try those in the Home section for no queue.

Killer vintage wardrobe mixed with modern designer pieces. Doesn't mind attracting a bit of attention, and saving up a total sequin overload cocktail sheath for when she wants to arrive in a room with a bang. Sarcastic barbs have a way of just falling from her lips. I think we'd be friends. This fab store used to be hidden down the back of another Leura arcade, but is now front and centre, windows full of modern, quirkily designed jewellery and vintage clothing for women and men. Inside is even better. I instantly swooped on a piece from a designer I used to love from my days in Newtown, who no longer seems to exist. Lovely lady staffer and I chatted about Japanese fabric-using designers while I was breaking my no unnatural fibre rule with my purchase. Almost air-tight, but a woman's allowed exceptions for vintage, right? Prices are pretty good, especially for Leura, the modern designer stuff is a bit steep, but that's what you'd expect. Staff are lovely, and the offer gift vouchers too, which I'm thinking would beat a Myer GV hands down in the Christmas pressie stakes. Newly glammed, I'm off to scour the cafes for someone in cat's eye sunglasses. I'm sure she's around somewhere.

There are…read moresome truly gorgeous little jewellery pieces, cute retro bags and a good mix of new and vintage clothing pieces. It is a little cramped but they have made good use of the space they have been given. A few pieces here and there were a little too expensive for what they were but generally prices were fair. The staff are friendly and personable and I will certainly be back again when shopping in Leura.
