These were really strong. The burnt ends were really solid and the fries they had them on top of were done right with a touch of seasoning. They didn't skimp on the cheese either. I also tried the brisket melt with pepper Jack cheese with a side of potato salad. This sandwich was really good. I was a fan of the spicy Mayo they used with the sandwich as well. The potato salad was also strong! I've always been a fan of a mustard based potato salad. Worth a stop.

For my first time eating at this restaurant, I ordered the sampler with pulled pork, ribs, and…read moresliced brisket with sides of coleslaw and baked beans. My total cost ran about $20 including a $1 charge for using a card instead of cash. I expected great things, but honestly was really disappointed. After driving home & opening my to-go bag a short 5 min after receiving my food, I noticed that they didn't include any plasticware or napkins. Additionally, the 3 meats were room temperature at the best. (Not great when eating BBQ.) The baked beans was the only piping hot part of the meal. The ribs were pretty bland and honestly tasted like they had been sitting out under a warmer for awhile, as they weren't fall-off-the bone tender by any means. The pulled pork was mixed with some sort of sauce and the meat was bland, mushy, and reminded me of school lunches. The only saving grace was that the sliced brisket was able to be dunked in the sauce to give it flavor. The sauce is the only reason I rated this meal a 3/5 - while it is a very watery sauce, the flavors blend nicely together and there is a slight kick at the end! Overall though, if meat needs sauce to be decent, it's probably not great bbq in the first place. Maybe this was just an off-day for the restaurant? I ended up only eating half of the BBQ and instead eating my day old salad in the fridge. I'm pretty bummed.

As for my food, I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. My first bite I smelled something funky. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. The fries were hot and decent. After a couple more bites, it dawned on me what I was smelling and tasting. It was old nasty grease. At home I use a can to pour my old grease in and when you open that can...whew. That Cheeseburger smelled just like that can. I explained this to the waitress and I could not eat it. I also told her I would like some Korean chicken bites. She went to a lady up front whom I'm guessing is the owner. Then she returned to our table and took the Cheeseburger like I was going to actually eat it. A good owner would have come and spoke with me but she didn't. So my chicken bites arrived with not even enough sauce on them for me to tell what kind they were. What was supposed to be ranch was Blue Cheese. When I asked the waitress about it, she said its home made ranch. It was so watery I really couldn't tell but hubs said it was Blue Cheese. Still no owner. We got our bill and was charged for the Cheeseburger and fries instead of Chicken bites and fries. About a $2 difference. Not really bout the money, just very disappointed with what use to be a great place to eat.

There were a handful of older men seated alone (likely travelers off I-70). We stood at the front waiting and waiting to be seated. The people in the kitchen looked at us but never came to greet us. A lady busing tables and wiping tables also looked at us but also never greeted us. Finally the lady who was busing tables came and sat us. Getting waters we asked for took forever. Taking our order then took forever. One of the men seated at the booth behind us had to take his cup up and ask for more coffee. We almost had to do the same with water. My photos show a 90% empty cafe but after she cleared tables, she rolled the cart right next to our booth and throughout cleaned plates off in it while we were eating. There were a million other places she could've parked that mobile cart and how she couldn't see people wouldn't want to hear her clean plates or clanging dishes... They would've been screwed if that place had been busy. I'd never return.
