I'm not going to slam it because my B&G skillet was really good as was my side of sausage. We walked in at 9 am on Friday. There were a handful of older men seated alone (likely travelers off I-70). We stood at the front waiting and waiting to be seated. The people in the kitchen looked at us but never came to greet us. A lady busing tables and wiping tables also looked at us but also never greeted us. Finally the lady who was busing tables came and sat us. Getting waters we asked for took forever. Taking our order then took forever. One of the men seated at the booth behind us had to take his cup up and ask for more coffee. We almost had to do the same with water. My photos show a 90% empty cafe but after she cleared tables, she rolled the cart right next to our booth and throughout cleaned plates off in it while we were eating. There were a million other places she could've parked that mobile cart and how she couldn't see people wouldn't want to hear her clean plates or clanging dishes... They would've been screwed if that place had been busy. I'd never return. read more

My sister and I stumbled on this eatery while road-tripping and are so glad we did. It's darling. Leta was outstanding in service and also recommendations. Their mushroom soup was delicious and packed with mushrooms. I also had the Julie Salad with killer homemade ranch dressing. I only wish they wouldn't use all iceberg lettuce. I love this hidden gem. You'll need to look past the fast food and the Mexican food (that all tastes the same to me, sadly). This places has a very wide variety, like a traditional diner should. They have Excellent service;Friendly and attentive. The food was very good. The chicken and rice soup was delicious and not watery (like Campbells), but creamy and thick with actual chicken and rice. I would have taken a photo, but I ate it too quickly. So i did make a mistake and ordered a double jalapeño burger. It''s way, way, too much food, but I managed to eat almost all of it. It too was delicious. I considered lowering my review by one star because the hamburger started frozen. I would have definitely dropped it 1/2 of a star, but that wasn't an option, so I'm erring on the side of their fabulous service and friendliness. Family diners always catch my attention because I know 9 times out of 10, you're gonna get a great meal. 7 Days Diner came through again for us today. This is a small town diner with a mix of regulars and visitors off of the highway looking for something other than chain. The inside dining area is spacious with that home decor look and a nice mix of tables and booths. If you come by in the morning, get a fresh cup of coffee or latte with your home made breakfast. We ate later in the afternoon and had the chicken stir fry and a Rueben sandwich which were real tasty. The soup of the day was vegetable beef. To finish it off we had a piece of pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream. Everything was delicious. Our server took good care of our table just like one of the family. I'll be back! read more

Driving through we stopped at the Seven Days Diner and are glad we did. It is clean and appears to be frequented by the locals. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. We asked the waitress for a recommendation and she said "You will not be disappointed with anything you order!" And we weren't! We shared a Denver omelet, hash browns with a side of gravy. It came with 2 pancakes or toast. Everything was hot, including the gravy and the pancake syrup, a big plus! The food was all delicious, well seasoned and perfectly cooked pancakes. If we are ever this way again we'll be stopping. The waitress was efficient checking on us and filling our water. And the daily specials were $10 & $12.50 for a larger portion. This little diner is wonderful!!! The environment is clean, cozy and welcoming. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We asked for Mochas, they serve Lattes yet were more than willing to mix coffee and cocoa to make our mochas. The Philly Chicken sandwich with fries or onion rings and cream of broccoli soup was absolutely delicious. The other diners were friendly and made it seem like eating with family. Loved the Christian music playing in a restaurant. The menu was extensive. Reasonable prices. Until 11:00am, they have a few specials for breakfast likes biscuits and gravy with two eggs. I got the one-biscuit special with two eggs and side of Polish sausage. Eggs were cooked as ordered, sausage was tasty. Hubby got the same with 2 biscuits and side of home fries. We both agreed everything was good. Except biscuits were small and appeared to come from a package. Friendly, quick service. Breakfast is served all day as well. Locals seemed to be the main customer base, which speaks volumes for how they like the home-made cuisine. We eat out often, so may be more critical than most. My Husband ordered the open faced roast beef sandwich and I ordered the open faced turkey sandwich. We expected actual roast beef and turkey (like in the slow-cooker or oven) but it was meat that was like it was sliced at a deli counter for sandwiches. Our bread wasn't even toasted. We also ordered corned beef hash on the side thinking we'd get the real thing. You know... actual corned beef that's shredded or cubed. We didn't; it was canned. I stopped here the day after Christmas looking for a unique place for hopefully a good breakfast. This place is truly a find! It is a nice little locally owned diner with a twist of Greece. The breakfast menu was extensive and unique. I had a Greek skillet that included mushrooms and gyro meat, hashbrowns,onions,cheese and olives with your choice of egg on top and a side dish of what I am assuming was cucumber sauce and toast or biscuits. We stopped in while on the road between Kansas City and St. Louis for a light lunch. Service was excellent - our server and the owner/manager were friendly and helpful - and the food was fantastic diner fare. Husband got the chicken alfredo and the alfredo sauce was homemade buttery goodness. I got the French dip sandwich platter with onion rings and chili as my sides. Hubby ate the chili and really liked it. The onion rings were nicely breaded and crisp. And the French dip was one of the best I have had! They add a couple of pickled peppercinis to the au jus which added a teeny bit of kick and the roast beef was nicely seasoned. All in all, we were very pleased and will be back. This place is poorly managed. We ordered a chocolate chip pancake for one kid and a Mickey Mouse pancake for the other. Neither did we receive. Just plain pancakes but they charged us for the upgraded ones. I went to the counter to ask that they lower the prices since we didn't get them. The girl spent ten minutes arguing what appeared to be the owner in a foreign language. Came back and said she would knock a couple bucks off. No "we are sorry you didn't receive what you ordered".
