We went back to the front cashier, and they pointed out to her that it was a hand tool, not a machine, and that it was right there at the tips of her fingers. She assumed the wrong service I had come for. She also assumed, I guess, that with gray hair and a frumpy dress, that I was part senile. She was really breezy when she did not take the time to properly ID my item. She was really apologetic after her coworkers did her job for her. It's the attitude and the assumptions that got to me. I went in looking for a particular part, and noticed all the similar looking carburetors on the counter. I asked the parts service person for any tips. He took one apart and showed me specifically to look for and clean out two holes (one being VERY tiny) on the needle valve. After searching, I found it and cleaned it out, and it started up right away! There is nothing like that kind of service at the box stores -- especially for small engine repair.
