The experience starts with the studio space, which is stunning. Danielle came down to great me and she was warm and friendly. The whole makeup and hair process was effortless. Although this was my first time being professionally photographed as well as my first time having my makeup professionally done, it was a great experience. Siobhan had my images up quickly and her work is so outstanding that the most difficult part is narrowing down the images! The album I chose was leather bound and embossed. It was packaged up with a bow, indicative of the attention to detail these ladies have. I've recommended them to all of my friends and I'm looking forward to working with them again. This was a truly special experience.

As good as it gets is an understatement! Siobhan and Danielle are absolutely amazing! I was so…read morehesitant to do one of these, as are most women, to get undressed in front of strangers and pose as if your comfortable, UHM, what, how? THIS is a walk in the park with them! Questions or concerns? Advice about wardrobe? I didn't even know what garter belts and thigh highs were! LOL. Well, they respond nearly right away so just ask, they're super helpful! They expect the nerves and anxiety to be going, so first your offered a little champagne to relax, which I gladly accepted. Siobhan helps choose your outfits, gets a feel for what your looking for, super casual in her adorable studio, and then hair and makeup is done by Danielle. (Which by the way, if you've done some shopping you know their prices at doll face are the best- I mean awesome packages, tons of pictures that you have free access to, and makeup included with lashes! So worth every penny!) Anyway, you've been having girl talk for the past 2 hours, with the champagne that went down like water, and I'm so comfortable I forget what I'm about to do! Not to mention, looking in the mirror after being all done up, I WANTED to do the shoot; I felt so pretty! My makeup was mind blowing, wow! I wished I could've brought Danielle with me to Mexico for my wedding day! By this time, I'm relaxed and feel like I've known these girls, for, forever. The shoot went so smoothy and was tons of fun with lots of laughs and great music! Siobhan actually gets into the poses herself to kind of explain better what will give you the best photos- pure dedication and patience here and she has the utmost professionalism. Never once did I feel uncomfortable or "cheap" so-to-speak. As far as the ideas for the shoot go, Siobhan nailed it when I told her my hubby was into motorcycle racing and I wanted to pose with his bike helmet. These were def his favorite ones. My results were jaw dropping, I couldn't even believe it was me! She had taken so many beautiful classy shots that it was really hard to choose just 20! And wait until you see them edited! LOL. She even honored my ridiculous request to scale my bumpy nose down a bit and shade out some spider veins that were nearly invisible. My, now, husband adored his wedding gift! The album is beautiful, with nice thick pages, and you even get to help approve of the layout of the pages! I wasn't expecting too much of a reaction out of him, since he's really a man of few words and VERY hard to excite, and his reaction was worth more than anything else to me. He even went through each photo twice, sharing what he liked best about it! Thats huge for him. THANK YOU ladies!!! I could not possibly recommend their team anymore than I already do! YOU will not regret this decision! Do yourself, and your future hubby a favor, call Doll Face and book your session! ;)

Caveat emptor...buyer beware…read more We really have no idea how these guys get the ratings they do. We are crushed by the disappointment in their service. We not only cannot recommend JPG, we would strongly caution against using them. In spite of planning together with the photographer and being clear about our intentions not to photograph the prep, we had to wait for them to set up after we were long ready. The 14 weeks from event to actual pictures were astonishing. Even more so after getting them and seeing just how little thought and effort went into their editing and "organization". Also - be prepared to be referred to your contract repeatedly. They will hold it up anytime you ask for something.

Choosing a photographer for a wedding is a big decision because your photos will be long-lasting…read moremementos of the day, and also because there are a lot of variables (style, quality, personality, price, etc.). We loved the photos we saw on JPG's website and their commitment to customers was clear from our very first conversation with Joe. We worked together to come up with a price/package that met our needs and chose Matt Bender as our primary photographer. Our engagement session gave us a chance to get to know Matt and for him to know us. When the big day came, we felt very comfortable with him and he (along with 2 other photographers) did a great job managing our family and bridal party for group shots. Many guests commented that our photographers were awesome throughout the evening. This skill should not be overlooked when you are evaluating a wedding photographer! In the end, we were thrilled with the quality and variety of pictures. The photo journalistic style captured the true essence of the day and there were a lot of really fun shots. To top it off, all of JPG's wedding packages include a DVD or thumb drive of high-res images with personal use rights - which means you have full flexibility when it comes to albums and prints. Bottom line: JPG brought the style, quality, and personality we were looking for at a competitive price. They were easy to work with from start to finish and we could not have been happier with the results.

They worked with me to finalize the details and the final quote was in line with what I was looking for and very competitive. What impressed me the most was the professionalism of the studio across the board - working with the owner on the timeline, working with the photographers each day, and the speed of the final deliverables. The studio even made some adjustments on a group photo to remove some items and enhance it. Prior to the start, the owner created a very detailed timeline of the event for each photographer and a group text to keep everyone informed of any changes or to handle any issues. The photographers themselves were great! They were not obtrusive, quick to respond and did a great job capturing the spirit of the event across the 3 days. To summarize, what impressed me was: - Timeliness on quoting and response rate - Excellence of staff - Coordination of staff - Punctuality and professionalism - Quality of the final product Please consider them for your next event.

I was recently asked to provide a review for J & J Studios, nearly five years after working with…read morethem. I had avoided doing so because I understand how hard it can be for small businesses, especially in the wedding industry, and I do not leave negative reviews lightly. That said, the request brought the experience back, and I feel it is worth sharing for other couples. We originally booked J & J Studios during lockdown in 2020 for our April 2022 wedding. In January 2022, after I received a serious medical diagnosis, my husband and I had to postpone our wedding to October. Our venue and every other vendor worked with us, requested reasonable documentation, and did not require additional payment. J & J handled things differently. We were told we would need to pay a new deposit to hold the new date, plus an additional fee because they were unlikely to rebook our original date. We were told that if they did book it, the extra cost would be refunded. With significant medical bills at the time, that added cost was not feasible. For context, about two months after we postponed, I had a friend inquire about our original April date, and she was told it was booked. I wish the experience had been different. We were willing to meet them in the middle as far as the additional payment given the circumstances but they felt they could not at the time. I understand that businesses have policies, but during an already difficult and emotional time, we were left feeling unsupported.
