We love this park! When the weather is warm and our girl is in need of burning some energy, we always bring her here to play.

Kids said the bathrooms were filthy and the Lexington Police would go stand in the changing area and stare at the boys changing, thats what they said. There is/was food? The hamburgers they made there were better than ANY at ANY food place we've been to in all of Lexington KY. Must be some home recipe. One day we went there just to get a burger/fries. They chase everyone out of the pool every 45 min or so. Why not make some kind of lighted sign with a giant clock to show in a non-angry way its part of the plan? The lifeguards blow whistles all the sudden and yell at the kids to get out, as if this is a Jaws movie. Make it non threatening and encourage getting fresh water or a small snack? Play music 1 minute before the kick out time, setup tables with free water cups? have some small challenges, throw a frisbee into a target and win a small prize or who knows. But they dont do these things. Parking is miserable, expect your car will be hit by someone's door. Period.

This is a pretty good gym. I had a membership here for around a year, and if my current apartment…read moredidn't have a very nice fitness center I would probably still have a membership here (or at another Fitness 19 location). A very big positive is no contracts. Unlike most gyms, you aren't locked into a long-term agreement to pay for a membership you might not use. They do require direct debit from a bank account, but you can quit at any time by asking an employee. If you realize you're not actually going to the gym often enough to warrant your membership you can cancel with no fuss. Membership is much less expensive than at most gyms. Depending on what kind of specials are running when you join, you could pay from between $9 to $19 a month for membership (and possibly a one-time membership/joining fee, but that's often waived during various specials). My membership was $16 a month. This is apparently achieved by cutting out many of the features at most gyms that many members never use, but still pay for. No pool, no running track, no hot tub, no showers, no fancy locker room (just a wall of lockers along the side of the gym, if you must change there they do have a fairly large restroom), no racquetball courts. The equipment consists of a large freeweight area, two full sets of circuit-training machines, a long row of treadmills, and several elliptical trainers and exercise bikes, and several televisions along the front wall facing the treadmills. It's not luxury, but if you're just looking to pump some iron and spend some time on an exercise bike, it will be a far more economical and far less constricting option than most gyms in town. A membership does come with a complimentary training session with a personal trainer to show how to use the equipment and come up with a good training regimen. They strongly encourage buying sessions with their personal trainers, the sales pressure is just a tad high. I presume they make a substantial portion of their money on personal trainers. They do have a kids room which is essentially a short-term babysitting service to look after small children while you work out. As I didn't bring my kid with me to the gym, I really can't comment on the quality of this service. The only really bad thing I can say is they have a total lack of security. The front desk is often unmanned, relying on an honor system of people checking their key-tags to get in while the employees are in the back office. The bad part about this is that people who do not belong in the gym can easily enter. I cancelled my membership and stopped going when a woman who was stalking me found out I had a membership there, and came inside to harass me, and there was no gym employees anywhere in sight to help, or to have prevented her from entering in the first place.

I like this gym. It is simple, and easy to use the equipment. You can get 2 memberships for less…read morethan you can get 1 at most gyms. Depending on what time you go in, you may have to wait for an elliptical or treadmill. The only thing that I wish they did have is free WiFi.

I am from Chicago and 40 years of planning events so I was wary when I saw a negative review. But I…read morehad to throw a bridal shower for my niece at a venue near Keeneland racetrack and Keeneland was sold out except for their "house" rental and it was super expensive. I talked to Yancey Markum at Keene Trace and had a great experience and a beautiful shower. The food was good and plentiful. I am very picky about fresh fruit platters and said "market fresh" only berries, pineapple, and honeydew. It was perfect. The décor and presentation was also great. I really liked that juices, soft drinks, and coffee was included in the set price. There were no surprises and the waitstaff was attentive and the mimosas and bloody marys were delicious. It was a pleasure to do this event. The only hitch was we couldn't start the fireplace before the guests arrived but it was already a warm day so we didn't need it. A really pretty country venue in horse country only minutes from Keeneland for a wedding or shower. Or whatever. You will not be disappointed.
