The water massage machine was cool.... they put you in this chamber that sprays the water jets on top of your back from your neck down to your ankles. It was pretty cool and relaxing. I found this nursing home to be the absolute best facility that I have ever been inside. The CNAs are compassionate, yet also efficient, providing top quality care for residents. The DON is extremely management-minded, and takes her job very seriously. The facility is clean and in good repair. There is an appropriate number of lifts and other devices to help with residential mobility. Whirlpool baths are given frequently, and the residents respond very well to their caregivers. Meals are well balanced, and special diets are appropriately served. I had to great fortune to visit with many residents. They are both loveable and amazing individuals. I will never forget the training I received while in this facility. I would recommend this facility over any other nursing home I have ever visited or been employed by. They take professional senior care to a whole new level, one I had never before experienced in a facilitated setting.

My husband was referred to Dr Steiger about three years ago. I immediately liked him. He explained…read morewhat he suspected could be the problem but did not rush to any conclusion until all the facts were in. It did turn out that his suspicions were right, my husband had bladder cancer. He explained the course of action that he wished to take, explaining to us the exact procedures that he would take from the one day surgery to the follow up treatments, which were preformed at St Bernard's in Jonesboro. He even suggested that if we had any doubts or concerns to feel free to get a second opinion. That thought never even crossed our minds, we felt so comfortable with Dr Steiger from day one. He preformed the surgery, he (personally) updated me every step of the way. Then one year later, he discovered another small growth at one of my husbands check up. He said that he would have to do another surgery to remove it but that we wouldn't have to do any follow up treatments. Again, we knew we were in good, caring hands. Sadly enough we recently had our last appointment with Dr Steiger because apparently the AMMC doesn't want him to perform surgeries at their hospital anymore, so he has been "voted out" I guess you could call it. When I called to get the result from my husband blood work, Dr Steiger, again, got on the phone, "personally" to tell me that everything came back normal and all was well, but wanted to stress the fact that we needed to call his (soon to be) former office to set up an appointment with his replacement physician and how important it was for my husband to have a check up every for months and that this would be a permanent routine for the rest of his life to ensure that his cancer does not return and if it does, how important it is to catch it early. I expressed our gratitude for everything that he had done for us and that he would be terribly missed. I can't tell you how many times I said that Dr Steiger was the only thing keeping us sane throughout this whole life changing experience and now we feel so unsure of what the future may hold for us. Why are all the good doctors disappearing? Is it because they care about their patients? We will never forget you Dr Steiger. Thank you so much for your care and support.

The office staff at DR Barry Hendrix office does not go out of their way to get to know clients, to…read morehelp clients or to accommodate clients. Three different staff members (front staff) will give clients, three different answers. They are rude on the telephone, will not answer basic questions and will get quite antsy when it's something they don't know the answer to. They will actually tell you to call your previous physician for an answer to a problem you've seen them about. The DR's may be ok, but you are only with the DR's for a few minutes. This all concerns the office staff. The office staff can make or break a business and this office staff is falling short, in fact at the complete bottom.
