Dr Noel and her team are incredible. I have graves' disease plus other gut issues. After Seeing many many medical doctors, and just being prescribed with meds, that seem to make me feel worse. I just keep going in cycles. I've been wanting to work with a naturopath and heard about how amazing Dr Noel is. She has a great podcast and specializes in auto immune disease, hormone balances, and digestive dis, et. Dr. Noel is so incredibly thorough and informative. I started seeing Dr Lo in 2022. I came to her with perimenopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, mood swings, brain, fog, etc. I did my blood work checking all my hormone levels as well as my thyroid, a full comprehensive panel and gut testing. She immediately got me started on a liver and gut cleanse regimen. Within one week, my hot flashes went away and little by little all of my symptoms diminished. I feel like a new person and I now realize that there is no reason to suffer during perimenopause. I love Shine, and the doctors and staff there! My husband and I had appointments with Dr. Noel several times between 2017-2018. She's truly an expert in natural health, nutrition and supplementation. I believe she's partly to thank for bringing my health to an optimal level pre-pregnancy. I went on to have a very healthy pregnancy and baby boy! It's amazing to see the test results and find out your micronutrient levels, hormone levels, allergies (including food allergies I had no idea I had), and more... The type and extent of testing they offer there is hard to find elsewhere. I trust the knowledge, expertise and opinions of these naturopathic doctors. I believe much more in the work she's doing than in conventional medicine at this point-- Dr. Noel, Dr. Meg and others at Shine look at root and underlying causes, figure out what's going on and guide the patient to better health and wellness. Conventional doctors more often slap a band-aid (usually pharmaceutical drugs) on whatever the problem is, ultimately leading to side effects & more problems. The main downside for us was-- as many others have mentioned-- some very steep prices for appointments, supplements, testing, etc. That is the only reason we haven't been back for the last year or so-- it's unfortunately cost-prohibitive for us at this time. I do wish that natural health care were more affordable for all-- I would send my family & friends here if I could. However, for those who can afford it, I highly recommend Shine, Dr. Noel, Dr. Meg and the others there. They are great doctors and they know their stuff. I can't believe I haven't yet reviewed Shine! I've been seeing Dr. Lauren Noel for about 2 years for a thyroid condition and anemia. She has a deep and thorough knowledge and background in the thyroid and works hard to look at the root cause of what's causing the imbalance. Through her painstaking work and analysis, I have improved immensely via diet changes, natural dessicated thyroid and targeted supplements as well as iron I/V's to address the anemia. I will never use western medicine as front line care again - Dr. Noel looks at the condition holistically and doesn't just treat symptoms. She truly cares about her patients and it shows. I wish everyone I love would step into this practice. There is nothing more important and valuable than our health and the entire staff shows you their passion for exactly that. They are all about service and getting you to your highest point of health and keeping you there. Dr. Lauren Noel is extremely thorough and has completely turned my life around with her knowledge and experience she has passed onto me. From getting me the proper supplements and nutrients, to teaching me, maintaining, getting my numbers back to normal and constantly improving, to my favorite revitalizing IV treatments here and there. When I finally came to see her I thought I had tried everything to help me with my skin. The problems were from the inside out however. So no matter what I did, I needed to heal my insides. I was a patient here for many months and regularly dealt with rude customer service (primarily from the owner of all people) and lackluster or non-existent care from my naturopath! It's a bit on the pricy side so I expected a slightly higher level of care, or at least caring about my health. I never saw improvement in my condition while I was a patient and I think it's in part due to a lack of experience and a reliance on supplements. They prescribed so many supplements!! I would hope if a practitioner wasn't knowledgeable they would refer you to someone who is! Shine didn't and for that I wasted a lot of time and money. Being trustworthy is important, so is being nice, and Shine isn't really either. read more

I saw Dr Noel and she did not help me one bit with my ongoing SIBO issues. She is out of network and I had to pay everything out of pocket (which I knew) but stuck it out because I was hopeful she was going to be a good fit. She wasn't. I was very vulnerable due to my ongoing stomach issues and she knew that. We had a virtual visit to go over blood work but no "game plan" on how to eradicate my SIBO so I can get my life back and feel better. She just added vitamins to FullScript and sold me on these "IV injections". They recommended to me that I do these injections because I was "low in vitamins" (not sure what these had to do with me having SIBO). She didn't explain why she recommended these injections nor did her or her office send me a diagram on HOW to inject these by myself at home. I ended up calling to ask many questions (lesson learned: ask questions before you agree to do anything in the medical world). I live in Pasadena so they sent them to me via UPS. Absolute no follow up after I had to inject myself with a 4 inch syringe once a week (I could have had an allergic reaction or god forbid, dead). My legs were bruised because they hurt so badly. After four weeks, silence from Dr Noel and her office AND I still have ongoing terrible stomach issues. Super disappointing in her "care". I felt like they forgot about me and I'm just another patient who's paying out of pocket and that's so defeating when you're in pain searching for answers. When we're in pain, we will do anything to feel better. Definitely not worth my time and money and yours either. Tons of other gastro doctors/Naturopaths that will take their time with you and help you from start to finish with follow through and impeccable communication. BEWARE!!!! read more

I've had a wonderful experience here at Shine Medecine working with Dr Noel, Dr Meg and the whole staff!
