A family run business, the food has always been of fantastic quality. These curries are always mouth watering, and the exceptional service from the staff only adds to a great night out. With the restaurant occupying what was a small house, the feel inside is quite romantic, and perfect for a dinner for 2. With fewer options that normal in terms of vegetarian dishes, it's quality and not quantity at Saffron Cottage. The meat selection is also a touch smaller than usual, however this only shows that the dishes served are tried and tested favourites.

Although not as good as Rajdoot, the food is tasty Indian Fare, and as always when it comes to Indian, has plenty for the vegetarians. The décor was a bit basic when we ate here, however the service was fantastic, with the new owners really making us welcome. Situated right next door to the music venue Rubys Lounge, India Gate is a great place to stop by if you're waiting for the band to start. The service was swift, and a good curry from the guys at India Gate will surely have your belly ready for a night of music and beers.
