I would like to give my personal review of the shirley temple. The exterior was inviting and colourful, with flourescent lighting depicting the chinese culture and the reception area was inviting, with the noticeable presence of a large fish tank upon entrance. With vast knowledge of the service sector and knowledge of restaurant management I felt pleased on arrival. I was half greeted by a waitor and then led to a table. The interior was pleasing to the eye however one noticeable off-put so to speak was the lack of customers present within the restaurant itself. At half past 7 on tuesday night, the restaurant was completely empty. We were then warned by the waitor that the restaurant was going to be very loud and that a party had been booked in. Due to the fact that this was our valentines meal, we were offput by this and decided to just have a few drinks and then move on. The customer service we experienced within the restaurant was below standard on this evening. In the ten minutes that we were present within the restaurant we were served by 3 members of the waiting team and when explaining to one waiter that we were not ready to order, he walked off mid sentence. We politely stated that we did not wish to order a main meal as it was getting far too noisy and politely asked for the starter menu. At this point the female waitress was extremely rude and stated that it was not a bar and proceeded to snatch the menu out of our hands and remove items from the table. I then paid the fee of 8 pounds for one glass of rose and one pint of beer, which i felt was extortionate. I was extremely dissapointed with the level of customer service within this restaurant. Maybe the restaurant should take a course entitled, how to treat customers with respect. read more
