However, if you don't have them ready when he shows up, he will move on to the next patient. I've rated him poorly because of his receptionist. He's got 2. One is nice, the other frankly isn't. I recently called, trying to leave a message for his nurse, Anjie. The receptionist refused to transfer me. She became very intrusive demanding to know every reason for the call. At one point interrupting me to have me call someone else. When I had to fully debase myself and explain things that she had no business knowing, she finally agreed to take a message. On hearing back from the Doctor's nurse, I was angry. I expressed that anger both to her and using their RelayHealth message system. The only things that could be construded as foul langage was when I lost my temper and said that the recptionist had no business asking the things she did. I questioned if she was a health care provider, or if she had been trained to know what messages were valid versus which ones where not, since she's so skilled to answer the bloody phone. Rather than addressing it, trying to encourage just a bit more empathy on the part of the person who is answering his phone, I received a letter saying that I should find another doctor, because of the "tenor of those statements." So, be warned. If you go to Dr. Koenig, you can expect fairly good care, but you dare not complain, even about legitimate issues, in his office staff or you'll need another doctor.

From the very first visit, I was treated not just as a patient, but as a human being. I especially want to recognize Lynn at reception for always being warm and welcoming. The nurses -- Stacey, Mariam, Kristen, Sarah, and Shelley -- are absolutely exceptional. Each of them has shown genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. They take the time to listen, explain every step, and make sure I feel comfortable and cared for. I have never once felt rushed or dismissed. Dr. Justensen is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly compassionate. The level of empathy and quality of care this team provides goes beyond medical treatment -- they restore confidence, dignity, and hope during a very vulnerable time. Wound care can be physically and emotionally draining, but this team makes you feel safe, supported, and respected every step of the way. I highly recommend KU's Wound Care to anyone needing specialized, compassionate treatment. You will truly be in the best hands.

After rushing to get my appointment and arriving a little late, the check-in person was so warm and friendly that I was not frantic anymore. She was very personable and kind. She clearly didn't want to deal with me since this is the second time I have called. However I know for a fact and have the messages from my Hematologist office that they have and already did send over the paperwork with every thing she said she HAS to have to even talk to me on the phone. She has a nasty attitude and on a power trip clearly. It must be really nice to not know what medical problems a person is going thru but go out of your way to be a rude and nasty individual. I can't imagine treating people whom I don't know this way. Every person referred to a specialist such as a Rheumatologist is referred there for a reason and usually they don't get the referral after just an appointment or two or even three. It's a long process so excuse me for actually CALLING myself instead of waiting three weeks for you to then call me and try to set up an appointment instead of waiting just so you can waste my time and the. Tell me you don't have anything for another six months. Take a look in the mirror lady and humble yourself. You have no idea what some people may be going thru calling the office you work in.

I had a referral to this office for a positive ANA test...my previous referral was denied by another office as they didn't take my insurance. This office accepted mine and i had to wait a couple months. Once I checked in they took my insurance card and told me i was good to go. I should not have had to pay a penny! My appointment was almost over when they informed me they did not take my insurance! I was so upset i had waited forever for this appointment and my referral department told me i was good. Not only did I have to pay but I never even got a follow up phone call from my blood work! I had to send it to my ex who is a doctor to read my results! This was the worst experience I have ever had in a doctors office! I also emailed them twice with no response but of course they are trying to collect their $150!! Such a disappointing experience especially when going through such a stressful time!!!
