Amazingly delicious and loved the ambiance!
Avery B.

Our expectations were high and definitely exceeded. The owner was attentive and chef was top notch. Can't wait to come back.

Even though Tulum, Mexico, is full of with yoga-centric spiritual hotels and resorts, this is the only Indian restaurant in Tulum, and, apparently, the only one in the Riviera Maya outside Cancun, which is 2 hours north. The food was very good. Less rich than what we usually find in Indian restaurants in the US. The daal makhni tasted more like what we'd probably find being made at home. The chicken korma was tasty as well, but different from the usual in that there were peanuts used - which made it interesting, but in a good way. Also had the mango koolfi (very good, not too sweet), and the carrot halwa, which was awesome. The chef chatted with us for a while, and informed us that he uses less oil than typically used in Indian cooking. That is a good thing - made the meal more wholesome. Would definitely recommend this place.

Samosas and chutneys.

Great atmosphere - wow! Came here during vacation after reading several enticing reviews. Craving Indian during vacation in Mexico is admittedly odd, and this probably accounted for the (sadly) low volume of other patrons during our dinner. That aside, we loved lounging on the huge couches in an outdoor jungle like setting with candles and good music. As soon as we sat down out came fried naan/crunch bits with three refreshing chutneys. We ordered the non vegetarian thali platter with chicken tikka masala, chicken korma and saag paneer. The korma was delicious, hands down great - light, flavorful and with sliced almonds that surprised. The tikka masala was slightly oily but tasty, and husband still raving about the saag paneer, despite having too much cheese. The rice was sadly disappointing, too think of a grain, not Basmati. Garlic naan was nice, could use more garlic. Raita like sauce was good but sweeter than we are used to. Overall, this place is worth it for the atmosphere and chicken korma. Staff was very friendly and presentation was nice. The prices are good and we left happy.

Vinay was very delighted to see us back, and on that visit, I ordered a lamb vindaloo, which was also delicious.

I had a delicious lunch of the chicken tikka appetizer (tender white breast meat), onion nan, raita, and the included a little shredded dressed salad with creamy light dressing, and selection of tasty classic chutneys / sauces (tamarind, green, etc) A tiny nest of spun sugar on the plate was an unexpected high end touch. I also had a yummy chai and dessert. The tiny, intensely sweet galub jamun (like a dense deep fried donut ball soaked in syrup) was yummy, though lacking in the rose scent I typically associate with the dish... though that will probably make it more appealing to the island clientele who probably aren't used to floral flavors. Their tandoori oven is not to be taken lightly, as they're important for cuisine beyond curries. They are hard to come by and shipped circuitously from India. Directions: Go about 5 blocks south of the ferry plaza along the main seaside road Av Raphael E Melgar. Turn left onto Calle 7 sur, and go about 1/2 block from the sea. It's on your left. It's a bit hard to spot because the main sign doesn't face the sidewalk, though you can see the white tiled little plaza it's on, that houses 3 restaurants and a bathroom. They are to the right of a large established Mexican seafood restaurant and share the plaza with a tiny street facing liquor store.

Terrible food. Service is okay. Ambiance is nothing to talk about…read more This is a simple joke in the wall type Indian restaurant... not too bad but nothing fancy. However, the food was terrible. We ordered Dal Makhani, Mix Veg, Mutter paneer, Garlic Naan. Everything was bad. No flavor. The mixed veg has 3x the spices but not properly cooked so you could taste the raw spices. The dal makhani was watered down. I have had better mutter paneer from a ready to eat packet in grocery stores. The Garlic naan has no garlic, and was from a packet. Plus, it had some terrible smelling oil on the name of Butter. I couldn't eat it. We only finished 50% of the food, that's how bad it was. Won't go there again. Turns out the owner is Indian, but he doesn't show up anymore. Has handed over the reins to some of the local women who try their best but it is not good enough.

Amazing service and i would say ambience had indian touch. We had kadai chicken , saag paneer, and tawa Roti ( hand made), raita , tandoori chicken. I must say it is rare to get this kind of quality and taste in mexico. We were lucky to meet the chef / owner aswel name Om. Very humble and helpful. Thank you for your services
