This location probably doesn't get noticed because it shares a parking lot with a Walmart and in…read morethe country, Walmart is what's hot and poppin! Fortunately, I don't support Walmart so while visiting family in the South, I dropped my aunt off and ventured across the lot to find this awesome store. I was a little nervous because it looked like a "Payless" from the outside but I had time to kill so went in anyway, so glad I did! The set-up is actually much like a "Payless" but the selection is just a step below a DSW and I consider that rare for the part of South Carolina I was in considering the most popular clothing store in the area at the time was "Fashion Cents." The variety of women's shoes were considerably trendy and fashionable and I appreciated that they had several colors available for nearly every shoe. I found it a little inconvenient that each shoe box only had one shoe (a loss prevention measure perhaps?) but I never had a problem finding a friendly sales associate nearby. Worth a visit!

She had kept two pairs but did not feel these two worked. Having just moved back to SC, and just newly involved with shopping for/with Mother, I had no receipt. I explained my situation, that my brother's wives shopped here regularly and that we had driven from Charleston. They were very helpful and understanding, crediting Mother's card, and sending us on our way with a smile. Being in the mail-order and customer service business I understand the need for rules, for respect to other customers and to the store, but I also know how important it is to bend those rules, in exceptional circumstances. Thank you, Island Shoes. We will drop in to shop on our next trip to Pawley's.

I bought a beautiful dress my first time in and have come back a few times since (whenever I'm in town). I just got a few more shirts there yesterday! The staff is always very friendly and helpful! It's clean and easy to find sizes and try on whatever you need. Their clothes are cute and they have some fun little things you can't find elsewhere. Definitely worth a stop in!

Place has saved my behind so many times. You can go in here, find somebody who works there and tell…read morethem you want to build a house on some new land you got with no plumbing or electrical setup. They will sit there for hours and explain every step of the process to you. Leveling, pouring a foundation, framing, getting plumbing and electrical hooked up, etc. Jesus, I wouldn't be surprised if they come out to the jobsite for you and start barking at the contractors screwing it up. They do all this because they got the Ace Hardware heart. It might be a bit pricier here than Home Depot or, God forbid, Lowe's (DO NOT GO TO LOWE'S! they got worse than service than popeyes chicken), but the helpful hardware folks who work here are worth the extra penny. Sometimes I feel like pulling out a crisp 20 or benjamin and giving it to these guys because they are so awesome. I been to every section and talked to all the regular faces who work here.
