If your one of the unfortunate souls who needs wide shoe sizes, forget about it. The only help and service I have ever received here has come when I went to the register to pay. There is no one to help you find your size. No one to help you locate the brand or style your looking for, and no one to address any questions you may have. If you can, I suggest you avoid this store.

To start with the fitting process - they wanted to put me back in the same brand shoe that I told…read morethem did not have enough arch support - also suggested an insert. I wanted shoes that fit- not made to fit with an insert. After several shoes that didn't give me the support I needed I had to make the suggestion of going to another brand of shoe. I purchased the shoes but after I got home I decided I really didn't like the color - which color choice was limited to 2 colors at the time of purchase. When returning the shoe I was told there is a 15.00$ restocking fee. This is ridiculous because they will literally just walk to the back room and put them on a shelf. When I asked them to waive this fee I was told the manager wasn't there and it couldn't be done. I was not told about this fee when I purchased the shoes - when I pointed that out I was directed to a small print poster located under the lip of the counter. The only way someone could even see this was to stand 5 feet away. Who stands 5 feet away from the counter when making a purchase? No one that I know. I was then told this fee is in place to protect the store in case someone would find the same shoe at a better price. Well, isn't that how commerce works? Maybe Robert's should be more competitive in their prices. Oh and also was offered a store credit but that was useless as I will never go there again.

They did not, but informed me that their other location did & that they would be able to ship that pair to my home. Sounded great so, I proceeded with the order. It wasn't until I looked at my receipt that I noticed they charged $10 for shipping. The woman informed me that she took off the WV sales tax though & that would save me a bit on the shipping. Well, that is appropriate since the shoes were coming from a state other than WV...I just found the ordeal off-putting that she was not forthcoming with having charged me for shipping on an item that I should have been able to walk out that store with had it not been for a defect. Feels like bad business practice to me & would advise them to be more upfront with the charges prior to swiping someone's credit card, as well as just be customer centric. The selection of shoes & the nice mannerism of the employees are the reasons why I gave 3/5 stars.
