Will NEVER rent again from this place! We rented a pontoon. Their delivery drop-off was OVER one-hour late. No apologies. We asked them to waive the drop-off charge since we got one less hour of boating. They wouldn't. Then the next day, when they picked it up, the guy walked around the boat and checked everything as OK. Initialed every thing on their checklist himself and I signed it. Later, we check our credit card bill and we were over-charged for $100 in damages, even though everything checked out and was initialed. Again, they refused to credit us despite the spotless check-in and signature of the employee. I've read other reviews that this has happened to others, but I gave them a shot anyway. Lesson learned. Great experience. First time renting and being on a snowmobile. Showed up and was able to get a same day rental and the staff was incredibly friendly even with us being novices. Barb gave us many tips on the trails and Lindsey not only went through a thorough inspection with us, he also took us to the field across the street to practice as it was our first time and then even led us to the main trail through town. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!! First they are extremely unorganized. I had to wait over an hour to pick up a jet ski we called days ahead to reserve. They had put down the wrong day so of course it wasn't ready when we arrived. We rented the jet ski for one day and after we returned it they charged my cc $140 for damage that they never called to tell me about, just snuck it in the invoice. They stated that the battery had come loose and broke a water coupling inside the engine compartment and that I must have hit a wave too hard?!?!?! Isn't that what a wave runner is designed for?!?! Clearly the battery wasn't secured properly by the mechanics and the battery tie downs are DESIGNED FOR THIS. Even speaking with a different powersports shop they agreed. I argued this to Shoeder's and even though the mechanic told me he's never seen this happen before, because I was the renter, I was responsible and he refused to negotiate on the damage costs. Very disappointed, never taking my business here again. read more

Beware renting anything from this place. Rented a pontoon boat for the week. On the last day we returned it and the employee inspected everything off via a checklist. I asked if everything looked good and the employee said yes. He had me sign the checklist and we left. The next day I was charged and extra $100 for damages. I asked what these were since the employee said absolutely NOTHING relating to these damages at the time of return. I was told there were scratches on the pontoon boat and that the employee had supposedly explained this to me in "great detail" when it was returned in addition to showing me some sort of drawing? "Great detail"??? This was a complete and total lie since there were four of us there and he said absolutely nothing to any of us relating to any damages. Since they had our credit card number we had no choice and they charged the extra $100. No proof of damages, no pictures, no real explanation, no nothing... If there were damages they should have pointed them out at the time of return rather than telling us that everything was good and then charging us after the return. The fact the guy that picked up the unit lied and told the office staff that he went over these "damages" is a complete joke. Completely dishonest operation. If you do use this business just know they will probably charge at least an extra $100. on your card for "damages". It seems to be a regular business practice. read more
