The wine list both by the glass and bottle is extensive. The stemware is gorgeous. We started with a German sparkling rose and moved on to a beautiful white wine to pair with our dinner. Be forewarned, the menu is quite limited. The pinchos are really akin to bruschetta with different toppings. We had a caponata and a beet with goat cheese. For the mains, I had the only fish item on the menu. Others enjoyed the risotto and the beef bourguignon. Opted against dessert but the menu looked nice. And the service is spectacular! If you're looking for a great place to meet up with friends, colleagues or even a date, this wine bar ticks all the boxes.

Every other restaurant had the VAT tax added into the price of the meal, which is correct. Our waiter tried to give us an explanation but it was not clear. Upon looking into it we now know that we were deceived. We also added a tip so they really hot a lot from us. Fool me once but never again. And then charged for water. How bizarre is that?!!! The food was mediocre. Would not go back even if we had not been taken advantage of. Beware

It was full on the Friday night and, many of the customers were known to the staff, which is always a good sign. The wine list here is excellent and the prices even better. Many of the wines are aged and almost all the wine we had (and we had a lot :-)) was under €30 a bottle which is rare for wines that are up to 10 years old. For this alone I would give the place five stars :-))) The food here is also good. Ok, so my steak was a little bit too salty but, it was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were ok and the salad they served with it was divine. We also shared a cheese plate which was really nice, with a spicy jam / sauce, that complemented the cheese beautifully :-)) The hosts here are wonderful and they made recommendations and took care of our needs and, of course very Italian. They let us hang around as long as we wanted (and we did) and asked us to come back again, to which we said, of course :-)) I will definitely be back here to enjoy some wonderful wine and a meal with friends :-))

Started with a Benediktiner beer which was your typical Bavarian style beverage, and a small salad with a red vinaigrette dressing. Those led up to a gilt-head filet dressed up nicely and was very tasty. Service is pretty formal here, white gloved while setting tables, etc. It could be a little slow, so don't expect to be in and out in 30 minutes. Breakfasts are buffet style, but soooooo good. Typical meats/cheeses/breads/fresh fruits and eggs made to order. I mixed it up all week and wasn't tired of eating at the same place each day. Wonderful addition to a very nice hotel.
