All through 4-H, Dr Haynes would come out to our farm and provide the health documentation required for me to show them at the local fairs. He never charged me either! Instead, I'd trade him between 5 and 10 pints of the Raspberries we grew for him and his office staff. Recently, we found ourselves looking for a vet who would accept a voucher for neutering from the Advocat program and Winchester Vet Clinic did. We had never been there for our small animals but we knew that they were a good place. I made an appointment and they were friendly and told me exactly what I needed to prepare my cat for the procedure. When we dropped him off, he was petrified, but the staff was gentle and calm and he calmed down quickly. Unlike the horrible place we had taken our other cat, they were also going to keep him overnight just to make sure he was OK and so he could have pain medication (I'm feeling more and more sorry for our other cat and his experience now!). When we went to pick him up, the vet tech got us up to speed on how he did (he wasn't happy, but did fine), went over his weight and other health indicators, and then went over post-op instructions including written instructions to which we could refer. All in all, a wonderful place to bring your small and large animals alike!

I called to enroll in the classes, but found that online was the preferred method. I went online and signed up, put in payment info, now what? A few emails later I saw where I needed to watch a couple of videos in order to get into the training. Okay, done.. I waited for instructions as the class time was quickly approaching. Nothing.. training day arrived, I found my way to Gigi's. Pretty impressive facility, multiple buildings, and multiple parking areas. I will admit it was a bit confusing. Luckily someone from the neighboring building came out and explained where to go. We got situated in the class and made it through. Positive reinforcement training is the preferred method, and the tips and information provided by Rebecca is top notch! My only reason for not going 5 stars here is that the signup portion of this experience was lacking a bit in my opinion. I'm old school, I like to speak with someone, get a name and a face. Working strictly online feels cold and impersonal to me. The classes most definitely make up for it as my dog and I do get lots of personal attention during class sessions!

When we got our first dog, a few days after, she wasn't feeling well and could not keep down food. We took her to Amanda Animal Hospital and we found out she had parvo. They didn't give her a great chance to survive but they were willing to do anything and everything. After four days at the hospital our dog made it through. If we didn't take her there and without their quick and effective treatments I don't think she would have made it. They usually focus on large breed but also serve house pets as well. The folks there are always friendly and you can see and feel their passion for animals. Our dogs have had a several operations and yearly check ups and they have done an excellent job!! We recommend them to anyone with pets and looking for a great vet. If you love your animals as much as we do and want the beat care I wouldn't any further than Amanda Animal Hospital.

It is now near impossible to get an appointment, first of all, because of a bewilderingly rigid availability for basic appointments for only early morning or end of day (not great if you have, for example, daycare or school pickups and drops). The staff could truly care less - which makes sense as they seem to devote most of their time struggling with executing very basic admin tasks, like processing payment. When you are there, you will likely have an inordinate wait time, due to what can only be described as profound mismanagement and dysfunction and then will have to continue waiting as the staff try to figure out how to use their own systems (not a one time experience, but a matter of course over several years). They do not give prescriptions and charge for online pet med verification - but won't actually tell you this until you try to order some needed medications and wont be able to. I have no idea how anyone could give this place a good review - it is the absolute worst (although it is on the cheap side, so if you are good with saving a couple of bucks but killing entire days for basic appointments, maybe worth it).

I figured it's a bad reaction to the shots I already paid for I shouldnt be charged extra for this...sure enough lady comes in with another bill for $65 for the two shots they didn't ask me to inject. in no world should someone have to pay for meds to fix a reaction to vax I already paid for! ridiculous. the doctor and aids were very nice and everything but I won't be back because they charged me for a fix to their messup.

Sometimes, the outcomes are good, sometimes the outcomes are bad, by no fault of the vets. Both vets and their entire staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate. A few years back, just as they were closing, my beloved dog with lymphoma started to crash. Knowing this was the end, and he was suffering, I called their office. I was instructed to bring him ASAP, and they would be waiting on us ( after hours). Needless to say, we weren't exactly abiding to the speed limits, nothing too beyond the speed limit. We were too upset about the horrible decision we were about to make. About 2 blocks from the vet clinic, a police officer pulled out to pull us over. My husband kept going and when he pulled into the clinic, the officer pulled in behind us. The vet and their staff came running out with the sling to carry him indoors. It was obvious our dog was in distress. As we were headed in to clinic, my husband told the officer he can wait outside, and he will deal with him after everything is done ( euthanasia of our dog). When everything was done, my husband went outside. The officer was still waiting and gave my husband a ticket for speeding (10mph over the limit). None of us could believe what had just happened. Our vet was in disbelief, and wrote a note to the Mayor, and a note for my husband to take to court. Thankfully, the case was dismissed

I have been with this vet for 7.5 years for treatment of my rabbits' digestion problems and have…read morebeen noticing lately when seeking treatment for my rabbit Sofie that Dr. Schwab keeps giving us the "brush-off" giving me the impression that she no longer wanted to care for my rabbit and told me to go to Medvet instead. I became upset because I have repeatedly told her I refuse to go to a place where they threatened to pull out all of my rabbit's teeth to fix her digestive problem when clearly there is nothing wrong with my rabbit's teeth!!! Why would I take her to such a place???? She has made this suggestion three times totally oblivious to what I was saying. I called just recently telling them we were going to be moving and that I needed Cisapride one last time to treat my rabbit for digestive issues until we get to Marysville and that would be my last request. They told me they had no Cisapride and to get it somewhere else at a place in Westerville (which there is no guarantee that they have this medicine). I also called last month to tell them we were going to be moving to Marysville and could she recommend a good vet in that location. To date, they have failed to do this so I will have to find a more caring responsible place on my own and place that actually gives a darn about my pets. In all of my years of dealing with these people, they only are interested in treating the symptoms instead of finding the cause of the problem which is what I am interested in. Now I've had to do my own research to find preventative measures. Not once did Dr. Schwab ever suggest anything like a probiotic for my rabbit. I had to be the one to come up with this myself!
