I have been here many times. The indoor range is a plus. They also have a big store and lots of inventory. Unfortunately, that also brings higher prices. My only real complaint is when I bought a rifle, they sold my some ammo as well. When I got home I realized they sold me the wrong caliber (.17WSM vs .17HMR). Me & a couple of my buddies made a road trip to Los Angeles then to Arizona. Being a California(or as a friend calls it, Californistan!) resident who both owns firearms and fully supports the 2nd Amendment, you know I had to visit Sam's Shooters Emporium to check out their business and their range! Like certain ranges in Nevada, Arizona allows you to fire fully-automatic firearms like the H&K MP5, Uzi, M4 Carbine, AK-47 & even a M249 SAW to name a few! They have a lot of guns available to rent, including the fully-automatic ones. The only problem is that between the fees for range use, ammo, gear, etc., it can be very pricey! Since one of our friends had no firearms experience at all, we decided to rent a Springfield XD in 9mm. The staff was very pleasant and things went smoothly. For those of you who are not familiar with certain weapon platforms or just firearms in general, their staff will ensure you know what you are doing and are very helpful if you have any questions. Besides their awesome collection of fully-automatic firearms they also have some rare and expensive guns that you've probably only seen in the movies. What I mean by this of course is the Desert Eagle in . 50AE, the FN P90 and a Browning 1919! Coming from a state that has some of the most restrictive gun control laws but has one of the highest crime rates in the nation, I was eager to see how a gun-friendly state was. While I don't think I'd move to Arizona, I appreciated how firearms were embraced rather than criticized. I think California has a very ignorant misconception that the weapon should be blamed rather than the person who uses it wrongly. In the hands of responsible gun owners, firearms can be safe and fun to shoot. Although politics may get in the way of some folks from becoming avid shooters like myself, I highly recommend you try going to the range at least once in your life(especially if you're a gun control advocate who has no hands-on experience with a gun)! P.S. That last comment goes especially to those of you who don't know dick about how firearms operate or what laws pertain to them. Know what you're talking about before you try to say something! read more

Good prices, large selection however the gun displays are a bit messy. Glocks were just tossed in the cabinet. If you need/want it, more than likely they will have it. I was able to pick up a Glock 30S in less than 15 minutes and they had the best price in town. Thankfully this store is close to the CA border and those of us with dual residency, we can hop on over and pick up the real guns that CA doesn't allow. read more

Props to this place. It was our second time there and did not disappoint again. Great bunch of knowledgeable guys, friendly customer service, and great prices as well. Went to use the range and fire some easy guns for my boys and their friends between the ages to 12 to 14. The range fee was $10 per person and I was free (Father's Day!) Ended up choosing the 22 AR rifle, 22 revolver, and 9mm Glock but there is a large selection to choose including a machine gun. All of our choices were $10 each to rent. Firearms were all in good condition and we had no issues with jams. Went through about 350 rounds and had a great time. Pretty much had the lanes to ourselves. Did I mention they have a large selection to buy also. Other than shooting in the desert, this a great alternative with A/C! We will definitely be back. read more

We've done lots of business with Sam's and always been happy with both the sales side and the range side. Prices are commensurate with the industry but, this isn't a cheap hobby and insurance is ludicrously expensive! For those concerned about the cordiality and promptness of the staff, remember they are a small store with only a handful of qualified employees and this is 2020, the hobby is booming. Personally, I'd rather stand around and wait for someone qualified then have them hire a bunch of counter droids that don't know a .40 from a .45. Personally, I frequent this place all the time and will continue to do so. read more

Your Trade ins always never worth anything( Ultra Low Ball) but all guns for sale are at premium , Service is nice but ,Every time it seems the whole crew changes ? Never really get to know a trusted sales person. Very high turn over. One big benefit, is very nice shooting range, Thur they offer $5 all day time. With three new Gun stores opening things may change for pricing. Went here with my dad with intentions to buy pepper spray. Instead I ended up trying out a handgun for the first time! The guys were super helpful in helping me choose which gun to try out as my first. One even offered to come in & help me/show me how to properly use the gun. After that, we ended up buying two cases of ammo & had fun in their indoor range. Halfway through a bullet got jammed in the barrel & so they traded it out for another gun (which I actually ended up preferring!). After calling it a day, they kindly rolled up my targets & showed us their stun guns. He even let us hear how it would "deter" anyone potentially harmful just by the sound of it. After contemplating whether I would use the stun gun over pepper spray, I opted for the pink stun gun. It's safe to say these guys made me feel comfortable & were definitely knowledgeable about their selection as well as gun safety. I'm glad I chose this place to take my first shot. My boyfriend & I had such a great 2 day experience at Sam's. On Friday we went in & purchased ammo & a few guns. We had already signed up for the CCW class on Saturday, but wanted to check out the place the day before. Saturday we arrived for the course & had such a great time! Sam's wife, our instructor, was amazing! She taught us so many great things along with a couple good stories. She was so very helpful in the range especially because I wasn't too comfortable.
