I asked her a couple questions and she seemed to be knowledgeable on the products and was very professional. She also gave me some samples to try out so I'm excited to try the foundation samples she gave me. Overall this shoppers is one of the smaller ones. But it has a post office which is always nice. And the post office staff are always SUPER nice and professional no matter how busy it Is. They also have self serve cash out which l like. I don't overly love the layout of this shoppers but it gets the job done.

The pharmacist on duty refused any supply, offered no alternative or next step, suggested I needed mental health help in a way that felt dismissive, and walked away while I was mid sentence. When I asked for a name so I'd know who I had dealt with, I was told "none of your business." I'm sharing this so other patients know what to expect, and I've filed a formal complaint with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

After completing my transaction, I decided to visit Shoppers, which was steps away. The store has probably been here for a while, but it is big and bright. I looked at the nail polish section. There was a good sale happening. I like Revlon these days and noticed that bottles were going for $3.99 each. Perfect! I bought a bottle and kept on browsing. What typically happens to me is that I go into Shoppers and end up with more items than I thought I would buy. Yep, it happened here! I finally decided to pay for my items before picking up more stuff. I had a cheerful woman cashing me out. I decided to redeem points for $10 off. I like the flexibility of PC Optimum Points. Sometimes, I end up accumulating so many points that I need to remind myself to spend some. It was great. I paid perhaps $3 after all the dust had settled and I was good. Customers tend to be older in this neighbourhood. I like how patient this woman was with folks. It has a community, small town feel when you shop here. (287)

On my first full day in Ottawa, I did what I normally do on a Saturday morning in Markham. I hit SDM. It was a Sunday, though. I needed some vitamins and I simply love to browse. This store has been there for a while. It does have a excellent candy and snack aisles. I was pleased with the KitKat and Aero varieties. I like Squishmallows. This store had more selection than I have ever seen in my life. There was an owl Squishmallows neck pillow. Who knew? I got my vitamins and a six-pack of Diet Pepsi. I paid for my purchases. It's comparable in size to the locations outside of the downtown core. It has a clearance section towards the back of the store. There are also marked down items throughout the store. The store is brightly lit and although the space is oddly shaped, they make it work. Staff are courteous. Street parking only.
