In mid-August, I was in this area and was parked in a parking lot under this Shoppers Drug Mart. After spending time eating and shopping in this neighbourhood, before I left, I dropped by this drugstore to check it out. There was a panhandler sitting in front of this store. I never have change on me, so I never can help that person out. This SDM has two floors. Naturally, I saw stairs and walked up them. I then realized that it has an escalator going up and an elevator. I could have saved some energy. Ugh! The main floor has beauty products, refreshments, the checkout area, and more. I was more interested in getting snack items for a work potluck the following day, which was why I almost immediately headed upstairs. The second floor does have a decent grocery section. You can get fresh produce and drinks. There are frozen foods, including boxed meat, seafood, and pizza. You can also find a good selection of cheese and dairy products. Coffee, tea, cookies, and ice cream are all on this floor. Maybe it was a good thing that I walked upstairs, so I could walk off what I was about to indulge in! I found some nachos that would be perfect for the hummus that I was bringing to this potluck. I grabbed a bag. It took a while for me to leave the second floor. I loved everything from the Squishmallows and vitamins section, to the travel items and pop varieties. I paid for my items downstairs. I ended up doing the self-checkout kiosk. I scanned everything, including my PC Optimum card. I then paid with my debit card. Done! It was nice to visit this SDM. I have only been to two SDM stores with two floors in my life. I scheduled a COVID test online and picked the earliest spot they have which is 10am so I can go home to the US within 24 hours. I got there 15-20 minutes early and I was the first one to get seen for a test. The pharmacist, Katie was super nice and was the only person in the pharmacy when I got there. She got my paperwork and all the supplies ready while I was at the counter, and I was taken in to a small room to get my nasal swab test done. She told me that the results will be ready in 15 minutes so, I walked around and up and down the 2 storeys while I waited. Shelves were neatly organized. They have magazines, a little bit of grocery items including fresh fruit, lotions, creams, makeup and other things you'll typically find at a pharmacy. There are stairs, an elevator, and escalators. I came back to the pharmacy (2nd floor) and there were 5 more people waiting to get their COVID test done 2 of which didn't have an appointment and were demanding to get tested because they do it all the time at this particular location without an appointment. Oh, the entitlement. How hard is it to make an appointment online?! At this time, 2 pharmacists are now behind the counter. The appointments are scheduled in 15-minute intervals. The other pharmacist was explaining to another customer that her flight (to a country that requires test results no more than 24hrs old upon boarding) is not until more than 24 hours so she needs to get her test done the next day but the customer was insisting she needed to get her test done that day. Both pharmacists remained calm and collected even with these difficult people. When all that nonsense cleared out, I got my results and went on my merry way with 6 hours before my flight had to leave. read more

I used to believe citizens, businesses and institutional leaders could be relied on to promote and protect public health and safety. Especially a drug store. On Apr.28,2023 I was in the Shoppers on St.Clair, just West of Bathurst. I saw a woman with a dog in the store. I mentioned this to the clerk behind the cash register and she said "How do I know it is not a service dog? They may have a card in their back pocket." During the pandemic too many people bullied rational, considerate people into silence regarding public health and safety; and too many politicians, journalists and businesses enabled and stood beside reactionary science deniers. This particular Shoppers Drug Mart is one I will now associate with the reaction that shook my faith in our society's ability to act in an informed, rational manner. read more

I rushed to the 250 Queen St West Shoppers to buy a soy milk tonight, arriving at 11:46 PM Two employees stood guarding the inner sliding doors - a female security guard and a male cashier. Since they just stood in front of me, I pointed out that it is 4 minutes to closing, to which the female rudely ordered me: "you have 3 minutes m'aam" and moved away from the door to let me in. I ran in, the item was not stocked, and I headed out. Once outside, I saw that the female had followed me. I turned back and asked for her name. She argued that she had let me in (wow, the favor!), took out her batch and held it to my face. I struggled to take out my cell and unlock it to record the batch ID, which was over 10 digits long. After ~ 10 seconds, the female announced that she has to go, passed me and started walking away. I asked her to wait, instead she held the batch for a second up in the air, announced that she had already showed it to me, and walked away. I checked my watch - it was 11:58 PM This is my local store, it never used to be like that. If employees openly show attitude to customers coming in the store during open hours, then Shoppers should change closing time to accommodate employees. Alternatively, change the employees to comply with office hours - there is a line-up of others waiting for the job, and much nicer too. read more

Fantastic variety of items, well organized and clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Look for the sales items though as their prices tend to be on the high side. This particular store has a large frozen food section with many daily special sales Store very bright, spacious aisles and well lit with a combination of the overhead lights and the natural sunlight from the large storefront windows. read more

I moved to a new city and wanted to transfer my prescriptions to another shoppers location. It has been a total nightmare to do this. I have called the customer service 4 times, and each time it was someone from India (even though they said they were in Toronto. English was not understood, it has been the most frustrating thing I have had to do...just to be able to view and order my scripts online. I will be looking for a new pharmacy. It should be a simple process. Such as go into the pharmacy request transfer and the pharmacy location moves everything over. But no, they move over the prescriptions but it is not linked to your online profile, so you can't use the online re-order. You have to call a customer service person and that is when it becomes a joke of running around. It took 4 phone calls. Extremely poor system. read more

double levels of shoppers goodness! this location has been an absolute game changer for running around downtown and especially for this neighborhood. i've been coming here for a bit, and not once have i had a single issue, from the great service, great stock and the self check-out systems this location is truly great. to take it a step further as well, this lcoation is so efficent i can get off the streetcar, pop into the store to grab an item or two quickly, come back out to the stop and hop back on the next streetcar, its that good of a location. transit options are 501 queen streetcar directly, and the 510 spadina streetcar indirectly with a bit of a walk. This is the worst website I have ever seen. It tricks you into buying what you don't want. I tried to order when there would be 20,000 bonus points. When I wanted to check out, I wasn't given the points and the chat feature wouldn't tell me why, so I exited without placing the order. I tried a few days later (only 10,000 bonus points this time). My cart was empty at the beginning, but when I ordered and tried to check out, Shoppers then added everything I had tried to buy the first time (though it hadn't shown up in my cart). The total was $900+. Deleting all the duplicates and unwanted items was not straightforward, so the whole process took quite a while. This is trickery and also sleazy marketing, and I am disgusted! read more

Actually came here to buy perfumes (my husband's perfume, my mother's perfume and mine). - CUSTOMER SERVICE: Non-existent, there is none. Two sales associates were behind the till, laughing and talking. I had no choice to ask them for help because the perfumes are locked inside drawers (few drawers were opened actually, they haven't notice or didn't care about). - PRODUCTS: I asked an associate lady for those 3 perfumes to buy (I knew what I wanted) but she said that she didn't have them in store. Not running out of it, but like "not in Shoppers Queen St W" which means other Shoppers. I keep looking and realized they only have few perfumes (compared to other shoppers), even though they have bunch of room. I'm not lying when I say that they have MORE THAN HALF of the perfume department empty. And every time I asked for testing perfumes she said that testers got stolen so they can't make me try (about 10 perfumes I asked for, same answer). None of them were available because testers were "stolen" and not replaced. Also, the only few testers they have physically in the store to try were EMPTY. Not even a drop left, FULLY EMPTY. Why don't you guys remove them or replace it ? - NOT CLEAN: Aside from that, the shelves were damn dusty, have never seen that before. All the bottle (very expensive ones included) were dirty and dusty. I finally went to Shoppers Drugmart on Yonge & Eglinton where the girls are professional and available to help, where it is super clean, and most importantly where ALL the perfumes are available to try and to buy ! read more

Shoppers at Oxford Plaza in Richmond Hill, ON. The pharmacy team. and I use that term loosely, is the worst I've ever seen encountered. You will stand there and be ignored until you actually ask for assistance. They are rude and abrupt and one team member had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for an over the counter pain medication. She had to ask someone what it was to which the reply was, 'we don't have it!' When I asked when they might have it the reply was. 'I don't know. I haven't ordered it yet!' I placed on an online order in October 2021. I will never do that again. The third party company E24 that does the delivery appears to hire delivery drivers who seem to NOT understand how to read an address when it is a condo building. After first failed delivery i contacted E24 and provided address (again)and my phone number. Yesterday the delivery driver phoned and asked for my buzzer number (all of this information was provided to shoppers Drug mart when order was placed) at 148pm. When i told him and confirmed the address he informed me was at the wrong address - he read the unit number as the street number. He said he would deliver the parcel in an hour and i never heard from him again. I did get an email late at night from E24 saying the parcel wasn't delivered due to wrong address and that they have given the parcel to Canada post to deliver on Monday. Why not use Canada post to begin with ?- at least their workers know how to read an address!! First and last time purchase online. I only did it because there was promotion. Not worth the hassle. I get a number of parcels deliver and never had the grief that I have had with this order. And why is it so hard to contact online Shoppers Drug Mart - I want to be able to write an email to them but there is NO email address and if you use their "contact us" feature you are limited as to how many characters you can use to explain the situation. Beware of gift cards purchased at this location.When the cards don't work the staff is quite sympathetic but will not replace the card or give a refund. The customer bears the burden of waiting for the customer service people to take weeks to do a fraud investigation. This is not worth the humiliation of shopping for goods for hours trusting that the gift cards will work only to be embarrassed at the cash register and having to leave the goods behind. I submitted a prescription to the Shoppers Pharmacy. After a week of excuses and failing to fill the prescription, I had to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy. This pharmacy and its staff fail to understand the importance of what they do. They are not selling superfluous items, they are supposedly filling critical medications. Unfortunately, they act as if they are selling any product. If it is not there, too bad! This is inexcusable behavior from a pharmacy and from pharmacists. Very unprofessional! read more

Things that make this beautiful beast a better Shoppers than your neighbourhood location: +Make up section that rivals Sephora in a pinch +A large, clean post office area with *kind* employees +An above average snack aisle +Incredible travel section, complete with everything tiny, adapters and empty carry-on size vessels You eventually have to go to a Shoppers. Shoppers is one of those places that you just expect to be the same everywhere. The standard cosmetics area. The standard aisles. The guy/girl who is standing in front of the eye wash product...but really is straining his or her eyes looking at the condoms for their right selection. I'll never understand how toothbrushes, condoms and eye wash stuff is always in the same aisle...just doesn't seem right. I feel like tooth brushes need to go in the candy aisle, eye wash stuff close to the cosmetics area and condoms in the...um... This shoppers wasn't that great. Was here last minute just before it closed and the place did seem deserted...of staff and people alike. Thank god for the standard-ness of shoppers that I could find the product relatively easily, but I was thwarted by the lack of staff at the tills. I eventually got impatient and left the items and walked out but it seems that I could have equally walked out without leaving the items and non would have been wiser... except for me.... read more

*4.5 stars* My local SDM, also known as the overdraft maker. It's a 2 storey one and full of things that find their way into my basket all too easily. I've a terrible tendency to go in for a pack of Band-Aids and end up spending $100 on conditioner and face cream. I sometimes think my life could be improved by getting the lifestyle experts from Slice to come live with me-mainly Gail Vaz-Oxlade and Paul Plakas/Tommy Europe. As Vivek mentioned, they've installed an annoying swing gate on the right as you enter. It's possible to squeeze along the side of it and continue to go right, but I'm reluctant to do that with security watching. Instead I now have to avert my eyes as I cut through the extensive budget-ruining Beauty Boutique. They have a great range of skin care from Dermaglow/Vichy/La Roche and Neostrata. One of my friends recommended Kinerase and I was convinced they didn't have it until I found it next to the Strivectin etc opposite the L'Oreal make-up stand. The medicines, vitamins, hair and body care, Canada Post and house cleaning things are upstairs. I've used the pharmacy twice and both times the pharmacist was Dean who was smiley, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He's a pleasure to deal with! I've had really pleasant experiences with the staff in the Beauty Boutique too. Friendly and know their products without being pushy. The grocery section is small and overpriced but handy if you've run out. Strangely, the milk is cheaper here than in most grocery stores (except No Frills or Chinatown) and it's worth watching out for the specials. It was handy when I was going through my peanut butter phase and it coincided with 750g jars for $3.49. (Not really a good thing overall unless you really want to pack on the pounds. That stuff is the easiest way I've found to go over my calories). There's a great selection of magazines and some books which have decent discounts. The focus is on chick lit though. -0.5 stars for the SDM prices and the randomness of the lines-sometimes none, sometimes way back into the grocery section. There must be some way of organising it better... Not enough to stop me shopping here though! read more

Shoppers pharmacy in Bolton has to be the worst ever since the change of management. They never call back, the pharmacy department is rude, medication is never ready on time and ignorant with regards to the rapid testing. If you schedule an appointment you are guaranteed to wait an hour. read more

This is probably the best SDM of all time, and i would know. My relationship with SDM started when I was in grade 7, I was young and fascinated with all the things you could buy at shoppers. It was also where I was first introduced to the idea of collecting points. (fyi, i really really really like point cards..) I know in general SDMs are way overpriced but when they have sales, boy do they really have sales. All SDMs have different pricing for their sale items and from my experiences, I find this SDM to have the lowest sale prices. I've gotten the giant Tresemme shampoo/conditioner for $3 a bottle. I've also gotten ice cream and bagels here for really cheap. Sometimes when I need a break from life/studying/shopping in the hot weather on Queen St, I find myself roaming this SDM for fun. It's very relaxing for the soul =) read more

This location is at the end of my block so I'm often here a few times a week. Atmosphere: clean, quiet and things are always in stock. Selection: It's one of the bigger stores so it has food and basic household supplies in addition to a cosmetics and pharmacy section. I like how there are organic food options and natural/green choices for cleaning supplies. Service: Oddly enough all of the staff here are really quite friendly. I haven't encountered a grouch yet. The only downside to the store is that there is always a line-up. Everyone in the neighborhood always comes here after work, mostly to pick up food. It is rare they you can walk right up to a cash register; however, check to see if the cosmetics cash register is open when you walk in as they will ring you through. read more

I stop here very frequently as it's convenient and I'm a big fan of SDM period. What I find many of my friends don't realize, is that the grocery items in a SDM are super when on sale. Where else do eggs and milk go on SALE? What you need to know about this location however, is that almost always there's a huge line up to check out. Do not purchase any electronics from shoppers drugmart. They do not stand behind their products. Purchased a chromebook from them for our daughters birthday so she could participate in online learning during the Ontario school shut down. Out of the box the keyboard was faulty and shoppers wouldnt do anything for us. Had to go through the MFG warranty process, 4-6 weeks now with out a laptop for our daughters online school. I live near multiple of walkable distance shoppers drug mart and this is my favourite one. Yes, I know....a drugstore is a drugstore. But, this shoppers has probably everything! (Not exactly..but you get what I mean) They have a high-end make up area, a perfume area, a drugstore makeup area, food area, pharmacy, seasonal area, etc. IT'S TWO FLOORS! Also, this shoppers is NEVER crowded...even located on the busy Queen Street West, it's surprising to see how nice it is to not having to say excuse me 487398473 times per visit! It feels nice to visit this location and taking your time walking through it. Always find the best sales here, yay. read more

I really like this location, it's not the easiest for me to get to at times, but when I'm here they often have the things I'm looking for in stock. Things to note: They have a great selection of Men's Care...like fancy shaving creams and stuff like that. So I've scored some good finds for my dad. From a cosmetics standpoint, they have a ton! My love for Urban Decay has resurrected itself once again. They had the make up setting spray I was looking for in stock, and as Sara K.P. mentions, they have all the UD Naked Palettes in stock. (I've already picked up both, so I didn't need them). They also have Anna Sui Cosmetics, and had the beauty tray I was looking for in stock (this was a pleasant surprise), b/c it seems like this line is in transition. They also have Smashbox, so just about everything I love is covered. It's worth the visit, and its new and clean! read more

They are jacking up the prices on Cannabis claiming often the insurance pays and people can claim it on their taxes. 1G vape $70 and on OCS, the same is $50. Talk about scamming the insurance company. In the end, we pay more $ for insurance. Also, it's still cheaper to buy recreational even if you can't write it off. read more

WOW. This is an amazing Shoppers Drug Mart!!! Their cosmetics section has an amazing variety of high-end cosmetics - Smashbox, Bourjois, Shiseido, Anna Sui, Benefit, Lancome, Lise Watier, Pur Minerals, Clarins, and get this.....URBAN DECAY. I didn't even know that Urban Decay was available at Shoppers before visiting this store! And possibly the most incredible things was that they were so well stocked that I could find about EIGHT NAKED PALETTES at this store. That's right....so when even Sephora locations don't carry something that you want/need, come visit this SDM location. The saleslady even told me that this was the sold the highest volume of cosmetics of any SDM! The salesgirls/MUAs are extremely friendly and professional - they'll give you recommendations if you're looking for them but will also give you space to browse alone if you don't want to be bothered. The only thing that I don't like about SDM is that their prices are somewhat more expensive than say a Walmart.....but it's pretty much on par with other drug stores like Rexalls. Wait for a sale and you'll see that it's worth it! :) read more

Nice location with a "new store" feel. My biggest issue with this store is it is on 2 levels, and while the escalator and elevator make it easy to go between floors, there is no easy way to tell which floor has what, so you might end up going back and forth between levels a few times. The aisles feel more cramped here, and on bonus points day when the place is a zoo, it makes a difference! The look of the store is nicer than Yonge and College, but the cashier area is not as organized. Fine if I'm in the area, but not worth the trip. read more

If you are a Senior or have a very limited income with no drug plan, I suggest you stay away from Shoppers Drug Mart when it comes to having a prescription filled. I was charged a Dispensing Fee of $8.83 at Shoppers Drug Mart vs $4.49 at Costco Pharmacy or a whopping $4.34 or 97% more. WOW!!! I have learned my lesson the hard way and will never again bring a prescription to Shoppers Drug Mart for it to be filled. I haven't been a fan of SDM for a long time but yesterday was the final straw. I wanted to get the flu shot. London Drugs didn't have any appointment openings so I reluctantly decided to try SDM. Filled out the info online and got a confirmation number which I was to bring when I went for the flu shot. No mention of 'making an appointment'. Went to a SDM that provided flu shots. Checked all the signs for where to stand. Only one line for flu shots, as per signs. Stood in line for 40 MINUTES (with only six people in front of me). I noticed some people in the line were going in to a room for the shot. Got to the counter and she starts talking about booking an appointment! I told her I had my confirmation #. Doesn't matter. Need to book an appointment, come back another day, stand in line again to get shot. No thanks. So incredibly unorganized (and rude). Checked London Drugs again next day. An appointment spot available. Booked! (Not sure why it says I am in San Fran, USA. In Winnipeg.) read more

I can't believe the system Shoppers is using for flu vaccination. Absurd! I got an email about a month ago asking if I wanted to be notified when the vaccine was available and to fill out an attached form. I filled it out but the one question missing was if I wanted the seniors shot. Last week I got another email saying Shoppers had the flu vacine but it again didn't specify if they had the seniors. The latest email had me fill out the same info as before and stated that Shoppers would email me a number upon receiving my "new" information. Here's what is so upsetting... 1 - the number they give you is only good for a week 2 - when you get to Shoppers it's first come first serve (not by appointment, that would make too much sense) 3 - Shoppers can only do one person every 15-20 minutes because they are using a room that has to be sanitized between shots. Meaning that if you are 10th in line it could be several hours before they get to you and by that time they may be out of the vaccine. And no one tells you. 4 - you have to stand in line in the store for hours with customers and other people waiting for the shot. Even with masks, I feel more at risk being in the store for a prolonged period of time. 5 - Some doctors have set up tables outside and are vaccinating people every few minutes. Why hasn't Shoppers come up with a faster method of getting people through??? 6 - G-d help us if we have to go throught this when a Covid-19 vaccine becomes available.
