I joined their six week bootcamp class and after 3 classes I knew this was the gym for me. Once my bootcamp was over I signed up for a year! The trainers are exceptional. They keep classes fun and fast paced. They offer support and training in a safe and motivational way. This is truly a judgement free zone. Beginners and seasoned athletes alike work side by side without judgement or the usual snide comments you often find at other gyms. I haven't felt this good about myself or my body in years. When I first joined I could barely do a sit up! By the end of my class I was able to do several. Pit North is truly a family atmosphere and I am so happy that I made the decision to change my life forever.

My kids are very competitive and all we hoped for was the kids to get in some good rolls and learn a technique or two. Decided to hit up local gyms near our hotel location and found Paragon Atascadero, a city we never even heard of. We set everything up through text message with a lady named Mallory and just like that the appointment was set. The gym is located inside a fitness gym which is pretty unique to us. Once we walked in, the lady in the front desk welcome us with open arms. Professor Chris was so welcoming, it was like we already knew each other. I can tell this man loves the art of Jiu Jitsu and the further development of it, in this area. We were the only Asian family in there but everybody that spoke to us was so welcoming and friendly. It was a small town but the people had giant hearts. This is all based off one visit and we got exactly what we were looking for. There is tons of potential for this place to grow. The mat space is huge, it's clean and the professor and coaches seemed very caring. My kids are grey belts, competed in many tournaments and won lots of medals. We been to many gyms to cross train all over Southern California and based off my own assessment, this gym is a must join if you live in the area. Highly recommended.

My 5 year old had been through private lessons for the previous 3 summers but still was not comfortable in the water. Steffi pushes the kids but in the end, I think it teaches them that even though it may be tough, they can do whatever they want! My 18 month old is now very comfortable in the water and more important, I am comfortable with her around water. This program gives your child, and you, a strong sense of comfort in the water. I highly recommend doing the Fundays/aqua babies after as you will see continuing growth and rewards. I had several friends recommend it and there advice was "the first few weekends are tough on you, but now our kids are swimming like seals and they love the water." I have to say I agree with them!

It's truly AMAZING what Steffi is able to teach the littles in her program. She is the most gentle and patient instructor. My children are confident in the water, not afraid to get their faces wet and able to swim-float-swim. My oldest is learning different strokes and loves diving for rings/gems/dive sticks. My youngest loves to practice swims and jump in from a seated position on the wall when we swim for fun. Yes, it is a big commitment; 10 mins a day, 4 days per week for 4-6 weeks. Yes, it can seem pricey, but how do you put a price tag on the safety of your child? We love you Steffi and are so grateful you started Baby Seals Swim Academy!
