Dancers already pay $299 a month to be part of the company, but now they're being bamboozled with extra fees -- $300 just to perform in a recital. To make it worse, the owner then turns around and opens auditions at the end of the showcase. What was the point of paying into a "company" all year if anyone can just audition at the finish line? It's not only bad business -- it's morally wrong. This studio has a long history of hiding behind flowery mission statements instead of dealing with the real issues dancers experience. Anyone reading their replies will notice they never address specific complaints -- instead, they deflect, preach about "faith" and "awakening artists," and gaslight the people who bring up problems. Telling someone that the space isn't for them is a clear attack on their character and it's obvious that it is not as inclusive as they claim to be. That alone should tell you a lot about how concerns are handled here. The truth is simple: this space is inconsistent, unfair, and often unprofessional. Schedules are thrown together last minute, dancers' health is disregarded, and favoritism drives decisions more than talent or effort. People pay large amounts of money only to find themselves overlooked, excluded, or watching others get special treatment without explanation. Even worse, unacceptable behavior is allowed to slide. A current dancer who has been given opportunities to teach and is cast in the "Dinner Table" production has openly used racial slurs in rehearsals. Nothing has been done about it. That alone should make people question what kind of environment this really is and whether the leadership has any true commitment to respect. On top of that, some instructors (those not past retirement age, ironically) often rely heavily on their assistants to dance for them, making it seem as though they don't want to put in the same effort they ask of their students. In several cases, they've forgotten their own choreography mid-rehearsal and left dancers with little actual time to practice themselves. This not only wastes the dancers' investment, but also limits their opportunity to grow. This isn't about "not being able to handle the challenge," as the studio likes to say when dismissing criticism. It's about dancers being charged, silenced, and disrespected in a place that claims to be a "home." A home doesn't humiliate its members, exploit their wallets, or tolerate slurs and favoritism. If you're considering joining, ask yourself: do you want to put your time, money, and trust into a place that treats people this way? The problems here aren't isolated -- they're the culture. Until that changes, this will never be the safe or supportive environment dancers deserve. A complete money grab. Should be ashamed of yourself. read more

Show Stopper Studio is a dance studio with two locations in Miami- Hialeah and Miami (The Falls). Finally, I'm reviewing one of my favorite places for dance- Show Stopper! I've been going to the Hialeah location for a while (not consistently) but it is one of my favorite places to drop in for a dance class in all of South FL. From hip hop to house to afro theory, they have classes for all levels of dancers! Their beginner's hip hop can range from being actual beginner's to a little intermediate depending on the crowd that comes to class. Regardless, the push is always good and the instructors are amazing at leading a class. I've taken beginner's hip hop, beginner's heels, jazz funk, contemporary hip hop and I've loved every class! Parking might be a little tough if you're not familiar and come during a busy time but never too bad of an issue- you can park in the parking lot right in front (as long as it's not in front of a garage or clearly states "no parking") or in the grass if it gets too crazy. The inside is a lot more spacious than meets the eye from outside, with 4 or 5 different studios inside where they can hold classes simultaneously. You can also rent out studios for personal use here! If you're looking for a studio with a range of classes you can drop in for, 5 star recommend Show Stopper. If you're in South Broward, Hialeah isn't too far of a drive for this with the next studio in Broward (to my knowledge) being in more North Broward like Coral Springs. read more

This is the one dance studio that I've gone to where I've really felt accepted and like I could actually have fun doing what I love. The teaching is amazing. As an adult who just recently started my dance journey, I'm grateful to have found a creative space that offers excellent training in a variety of dance styles while allowing me freedom to cultivate my own signature artistic expression. The teachers are extremely talented and knowledgeable and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The growth I've experienced is more than I could've ever imagined! I've experienced mixed things about showstoppers. Susie is such a talented and gifted dancer. She's worked with the best in the industry. I've only taken classes by Susie, but another dance teacher, Cultura, is also apparently awesome. Cultura was a backup dancer for Ariana Grande. My biggest complaint is that they pack their dance classes. I can barley do a turn without knocking someone. I attended a hip-hop class last week, and I couldn't even see the teacher. It was so frustrating. It seems like they're focusing more on making money then helping their dancers. They would rather pack the classes with too many people, at the expense of the dancers. They need to have a cap, so the dancers can really learn and improve! After my frustrating class, (this is not the first time this has happened), I think I'll be dancing elsewhere! I hope they put a cap on the classes, and I'll go back to Showstoppers. It was great while it lasted. read more

This studio is absolutely wonderful and the staff is very very nice too! It's owned by a mother and daughter and they are very responsive and fair with their studio rental pricing! They have 5 different studios and offer extras like smoke machines, chairs, neon lights and more if you want your video to have a full effect! The owner was very helpful guiding us through all the equipment. It was the perfect space for my video! Definitely check them out cause Showstoppers is it! read more

Hard to find ! But offers a good amount of classes. Although this is a dance studio , they "claim " versatility, claim they are so urban but lacks everything having to do with it. most of the dance teachers are Spanish. Only teaching Spanish. For the classes that include more urban esque style it's usually transformed into something more fitting for the studio. No black or Africans that's work or dance here usually.. the music, the owners only market their race as well as use BLACK CULTURE to heighten their activities . If u see any of the colored folks on the page they're usually in the back or not really there. Please do Better especially if your going to mimic black culture read more

From they're ballet classes to hardcore hip hop classes, The teachers and training provided at showstopper have given them the title as one of the Hottest dance studios in Miami! Not only that but the teachers actually care and put all of their effort into bettering you! :) Nothing is ever half assed. I've danced in about 5 different studios around Miami. 2 years ago, I decided to try Show Stopper Studio. I came to realize, that it is the best choice I could have made. The other dancers where all so close, like a huge family, and they immediately made me feel like one of them. We grow, learn, and help each other every single day. My daughter choose this studio because of their artistic experience and friendly enviorment. In total we have been here for three years and we have been to many competitions & many performances. My daughter is now 11 and loves to dance for Susie Garcia.this year my 8 yr old son started hip hop and loves it. This studio provides the knowledge and experience dancers need to make it a career.
