They have a small beer garden to the rear, there is also seating out the front facing out onto Altrincham old market square, most of the buildings here are some of the oldest in the town. There is also a sports bar inside where they show all sports .. you name it, they probably will air it. A peaceful, privately owned and traditional pub!

A blacksmith, a kwik fit, car parks and main roads... but step in and you'll find a warm and friendly atmosphere, mainly dominated by the local workers. It has a great selection of 15+ guest beers on tap and a few good bottles too. It serves pork pies and sausage rolls (I'm telling you this was the 11th and final pub stop, these dirty pies and rolls saved the day !) and has a jukebox with proper Brit classics on. The staff is always friendly and prices are very reasonable. Definitely on my Stockport's must go addresses.

You expect to see buccaneers clustered round the tables muttering darkly or a Navy official to be dropping the King's shilling into flagons.
