A place where faith and family can never be seperated. Where spiritual journeys are discovered and strengthened. Unforgettable

Extremely disappointed in crossroads . I've decided after 10 years it's time to find another church…read moreand will also be pulling my kids out of crossroads school and discontinuing my weekly tides to this church. The fact that Charlie Kirk and his family were not prayed for even mentioned in yesterday's serviced, made me sick! It doesn't matter what his political stand point is, but with him being a well spoken and devoted Christian man and a huge follower of Christ. That alone should've been acknowledged! This man gave his life to spread the word of god and probably brought more youth to Christianity then anyone else in this life time! No prayers, no acknowledgment for him or his poor family is unbelievable disrespectful and sad! Do better crossroads!

First off, the decision to perform a Jelly Roll song mid service was extremely... odd? Seemed like they just really wanted to perform the song and it had us confused as to what was going on. Like others have mentioned the sermon is more watered down than we're used to. It seemed as if the Scripture was used to support whatever the church was trying to say and felt repetitive. We're more used to the Bible being the center of focus and whatever connections can be made to everyday life are made but understanding Scripture and growth in faith are not overshadowed. All that being said their coffee shop is yummy and the greeters were nice.

I never imagined I would be writing a review about my own mother and father's funeral, but I hope…read moresharing our experience helps other families. My mother passed away after a long and difficult medical journey. My brother was her primary caregiver and has been struggling tremendously with her loss. It took everything he had emotionally just to attend the funeral. He arrived about 10 minutes late, but he had already been seated for approximately 10 minutes before communion began. When he went to receive communion, Father Hector told him, "Sit down, you don't get any, you were late." Watching my grieving brother be publicly denied communion in that manner was heartbreaking and humiliating. Throughout the Mass, many guests had difficulty hearing. When people quietly spoke because they couldn't understand what was being said, they were shushed rather than gently guided. During the Sign of Peace, our family and friends were simply hugging one another and offering comfort after the loss of my mother. After only a few minutes, Father Hector abruptly stopped everyone because people were embracing. At the end of the funeral, there was no indication that the service had concluded. Father Hector removed his vestments in front of everyone, walked into the back, and the lights were turned off. Our family sat there confused because no one knew the service had ended. As people began coming forward to offer condolences and hug us, an announcement came over the intercom telling everyone they needed to leave because the church was "not a place for socializing." The funeral began at 11:00 a.m., and this occurred around 11:40 a.m. Our guests were not socializing--they were comforting a grieving family. We were never given any guidance beforehand about how the funeral would proceed or what was expected of us. We fully understand that a Catholic church is a sacred place, and we respect that. What we cannot understand is the lack of compassion shown to a family during one of the worst days of our lives. A funeral is a moment that can never be repeated, and instead of leaving with peace and comfort, we left feeling hurt, embarrassed, and unwelcome. I sincerely hope no other grieving family has to experience what ours did.

This was the worst funeral experience I have ever had. They didn't let any of the family members…read morehave any say about the service. Then they did the service and started turning off the lights 30 minutes in, when everyone was still sitting there, waiting for people to speak about our loved one. We had to tell them to turn the lights back on (we paid for an hour) so our loved one's son could speak about him. WHILE he was speaking, a woman came out and was removing things and locking things on the alter behind him. This was also being video recorded so his family could watch from Guatemala. Then, as soon as his son was finished speaking, they turned the lights off on the alter so no one else could speak. Family members were lining up to give their condolences, but before our hour was even up, they turned off then entirety of the church lights on all 50 or so of us. Then they asked us to leave so they could lock up the church. This was the rudest, most insensitive church staff I have ever encountered. We were all very upset by it. Instead of peace and closure, we left incredibly mad that the church disrespected our loved one so entirely.
