Steve has the patience of an angel, as my aunt was indecisive, but he gave his honest input and did not try to upscale my aunt on things that were overpriced. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have a stress free experience with window treatments. He is also quick to get back to customers, which is great compared to another blind company that only wanted to be contacted through emails and texts. I found Made In The Shade through Costco. In the end, I did NOT go with Made In The Shade, but rather Rockwell Shutters (through Home Depot). They have higher quality products, and more affordable prices. I do want to say that Alex and Cyndi were very nice people though. They simply could not beat the products/pricing of Rockwell Shutters. I highly suggest you do your own research and ask lots of questions if you are looking to purchase custom window coverings.

Looking for shutters and blinds combo. We met with Dallas and he he was very attentive and took the time to listen to our needs and than focus to show us what we were looking for etc. Didn't try to up sell us which is pleasant thus allowing customers to decide for themselves, yet taking his recommendations into consideration. Ironically, Cyndi was "off" that Saturday but she just happen to swing, so happy to have met her. She "chatted" a little bit and allowed Dallas to take care of us which we were ok with. On Monday we received the multiple quotes from Dallas since we asked for a couple of options. At this point, we've not made the purchase yet.. house is new construction so still a few months out. Jim brought samples, explained the difference in the shades (light-filtering or room-darkening), and offered advice for each set of windows. Truly professional installation (dedicated crew, no third party subcontractors) with cleanup! They then showed us in detail how to operate the controllers and the phone app. The photos below show light-filtering shades in the living and dining rooms, and blackout shades in the master bedroom. Chris Davis came to my house and said he could give me a quote and would upgrade the material from…read morewhat the insurance company had in the estimate, and he could give me a list of materials he would be using. He then went on my roof and did his inspection. Once complete I asked how long it would take and he stated a week and maybe a few days longer depending on the final inspection. I asked why so long when the first company stated they could complete it in 1 day. Chris told me "It's not good to immediately install panels the day the roof is installed. You should wait a few days for the panels to settle." Something the first company failed to inform me. When I eventually shared the insurance quote with Chris, he found a lot of items the adjuster and the first company missed. He then went back to my insurance adjuster and fought that battle for us. In the end I decided to go with D&D Construction because not only did Chris seem to know more about the right process to replace a roof with solar panels, but he also found things missed initially. I got the feeling the first company just wanted to take the insurance money, do quick job, and get back to the city they came from. Chris did the post install inspection and found a couple areas of tar on my patio. He called the roofing foreman and the next day the foreman was at my home and cleaned the spots. I am thankful I found Chris on Google and will highly recommend him to anyone needing a roof replacement.
