Bit of a hidden gem, small basic restaurant and takeaway. Never had a bad meal, would definitely recommend

We had lunch today at Thai Marina 26th May 2026. It was very hot outside, but the first thing that…read morewas very evident, is they had air conditioning and that was a definite winner. We were looked after by a beautiful lady (Bar) and a man who did all the serving. They were excellent and made us feel at home. There were 3 of us and we opted for the Set Menu A. They allowed us to change one of the options because it looked a very hot option. We were over the moon with our choice. It was lovely and thoroughly enjoyed. When we go out for a meal, we go out to get the best restaurants and the cost does not enter the equation. As it was our bill came to £101 for 3 people, which we thought was excellent value. We thought it was a shame that they are where they are as there were not that many in the restaurant, whereas on the Brayford is was humming with people eating and drinking. We feel sure this restaurant would have been packed if the Restaraunt had been on the front as the footfall was amazing. This should not be taken as a negative but just an observation.

Highly recommend this new restaurant on Bradford wharf. Open entering, the excellent atmosphere…read moreand lovely decor had me very excited and the meal did not disappoint. The menu includes familiar favourites along with more unique options. My toddler made quick work of the classic pud Thai and the rest of the dishes were wonderfully flavoured without being heavy. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. EDIT: just wanted to update this review now that we've been eating there over the past year, the food continues to be top notch and even though I don't live in the city I use them as an excuse to drive into town! Absolutely the best Thai food in Lincoln!

Walking around 18:30 in Birmingham looking for a place to eat is no easy task, as everything in…read morethis city closes at ridiculously early hours. So this is how I found The Blue Piano... because it was the only restaurant open. From the outside, it doesn't look like a restaurant, but more like a small office or hotel. The whole entrance and first look of it was quite intimidating because it looked like a place I could not afford. But surprisingly as I scanned the menu, the prices were reasonable. The waiter was helpful and attentive. The cuisine is Southeast Asian. I ordered the jackfruit and rambutan red curry and chicken ho fun. Both dishes were delicious and well seasoned. I have no complains during my experience and time here. Every factor from the list I consider important when eating in a restaurant (food, service, price, location, décor, and other random factors depending on how I feel on my day) was checked. This is the perfect restaurant to have dinner whenever you want to impress friends or that special someone, or you just want to feel posh even though you aren't. Highly recommended.

I had never actually heard of this place until yesterday when a friend said do you want to come for…read moreone drink......obviously that did not happen and we ended up going into town and staying out for hours but I still got to try out Blue Piano. The venue itself is a little like being in someones house and the welcome you get in similar. So friendly! I asked for a Bloody Mary and despite it not being on the menu was made it no questions asked :) After a drink we decided to share one of the two sharing platters. It consisted of some sort of savory cake, top hats and chicken satays. Everything was honestly amazing....fresh and generally spot on. The star for me was the satay sauce...it was literally perfect. Just the right amount of spice! I am 100% going back for a full meal here asap so expect a full review. This is a great find and somewhere I will definitely be taking friends to.
