The contractor stated that they had to use extra materials and labor to reinforce some of the frame, which they did not contact us about for permission for any extra cost. After looking under the front porch, I can not see all the lumber that the contractor itemized in the billing invoice. After looking close, I noticed that the supports for two beams where not and are not supported at all. The itemized list also stated that all the material was pressure treated however I can see that numerous boards are not. There is also an area where some boards stick out above the adjacent boards and need to be further sanded to create a level area. The description of the job also included two holes at 48 below grade for new post supports that were not done. The second part of this job was for the contractor to demolish the existing stairs from the first floor to the basement and rebuild a finished stair case from the first floor to the basement. The materials used were supposed to be of a finished material ready to be stained. The material that was used was a pine wood that was rough and not ready for stain. The treads on the stairs are not actual treads but are just basic 2x6 pine material. All the treads and risers were nailed down and not with a finish look. Some of the treads are not level and when you walk on them you can feel your foot is on an angle. The reveal on all the skirt boards on the stair case are not the same. One reveal is 1/8th of an inch while the reveal on the other side of the stairs is about 3/4 of an inch. The treads and risers ALL have gaps. In some cases it looks as though the treads were scribed but not cut along the scribe. None of the treads are actual treads with bull nose but instead are only 2x6 materials. You can see gaps between the risers and the skirt boards and these range from 1/8 th of an inch to 1/4 of an inch. In all of the risers and treads they used nails instead of screws which, although not the preferred method to fasten stairs would have been acceptable if they were not all over the treads and risers in places that will be seen on stained material. The landing that separates the first floor from the basement, the cut material has the grain showing to the outside instead of a bull nose for a finished look. This landing has 2x1 material planks instead of a plywood so that a hard wood flooring can be installed as was discussed by us to the contractors after the stairs were completed not to our liking. Also please note that materials that the contractor listed as being used were not used. We tried to talk to the contractor several times through out the process and actually stopped the construction in order to work out the details and make sure that the way we wanted things done were the way things were going to be done. The contractor got an attitude and kept saying stuff like when you caulk that it would look fine or if you buy this material you can cover this part up etc. After several discussions in which it was evident that the contractor was not going to do what we hired them to do, even giving us two options in which we could either take the extra work done on the front stairs (which was not authorized) at no charge and we deal with the stairs as is or he would charge us for the extra work and would finish the basement stairs to our liking, we decided to have them finish the drywall they had started and end the construction. After the contractors left we did some more research on this company and found numerous people that have complaints about them. Even though we did some research on the company by calling references we did not do an extensive background on them. The reviews we have gotten from several people are consistent with what happened to us.

Infinity Roofing. Recommended to us by a friend, Infinity has become our go to for those projects…read morethat I just won't be doing myself. I'm an electrician by trade, there are many things I will do, roofs and doors aren't on that list. Our first project was quoted by a salesperson named Aaron and it was a rip and replace of our roof. He was a good guy and came in and gave us a solid deal with all the service and upgrades I was looking for. Financed this venture through Enerbank USA and paid it off interest free in the years' time allotted. Our latest venture happened through a simple phone call. We had just dealt with the seriously cold Polar Vortex and noticed some issues with our doors. Infinity happened to call us to check on our roof and during this conversation, I had requested anyone with experience with doors. Well guess what, they do doors! About a week later a salesperson named Mark came out and gave us, the Provia doors booklet and a bit of homework. He then came back and we proceeded to build some doors, three to be exact. Again, we will be going with the 12-month interest free financing. We are excited as can be to get these new doors installed and seal this house up. In the business of home remodeling, there are many fast wheelers and dealers out there. We personally have found Infinity to be more of a partner than just a contractor in our home ventures. You really get what you pay for these days and pay for what you get, so why not deal with a company that has your back? I'll throw some pics up once our doors are installed. It was a little pricier than we initially expected but I am expecting the quality of the goods to be second to none. Another plus is not only did we get a deal for the time of year we are purchasing but we also received a nice loyalty discount of an additional 5% since we are on our second project with Infinity. That's what's up as every penny counts!

AVOID INFINITY EXTERIORS AT ALL COSTS…read more They did not fulfill multiple aspects of the contract, our roof has been leaking all week just shortly after installation, and the company has failed to acknowledge or remedy this. They also chipped paint all over the exterior of the house and damaged our brand new windows. In addition, they reused extremely rusted materials despite the contract specifying they would be replaced. When told of these, the quality manager came out -- he papered over some issues, said he would get back to me on others (and didn't), and told me the area with ripped metal where water was getting in was "fine" (that night, we had even more water coming in). Our package also included a "50 point inspection" afterwards to ensure everything was installed properly. Not only did this not happen, but when the Quality Manager came out in response to my complaints he admitted multiple things were missed on initial installation. These were only caught by me having to go up on my roof and check, instead of the 50 point inspection. I am more than happy to update this review should the company decide to fulfill the contract and fix the failing roof. For now, I am forced to spend my time and energy calling, consulting lawyers, and contacting NARI.
