What a great experience we had with Sierra Shred! After reading all the great reviews, I requested a quote from Sierra Shred. Shannon called me within minutes and gave me a quote, which she also emailed. I had nine crates of medical files to be shred (patient charts from a surgeon's office). This needed to be done quickly, and she was able to schedule a crew and truck to come within 48 hours. The quote was less than half of what I'd received from Shred It whose earliest available date was over a month away. The crew called when they were ten minutes out, arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and boy, were they quick! They loaded my files, and I watched as they fed them to the monster shredder on the truck. I know the sensitive and confidential material was completely destroyed properly and in accordance with HIPAA regulations. I paid with my credit card, and that was that! We'll be doing another big round of records purging in the next few months, and I will absolutely call Sierra Shred again. Fast, efficient, reliable, and professional. In the sea of document destruction companies I discovered were out there these days I ended up choosing Sierra because it was close to our location and their office was very efficient in getting the quote and the scheduling handled. We had used a different company in the past (also nearby) but it was acquired by a larger supplier and was like talking to AT&T (a couple of reps, a separate scheduling contact). It felt like we were actually doing them a favor by reaching out to them. Sierra did a great job for us, even improving the schedule time, which was a convenience for us. Their crew was very organized, efficient and professional. Didn't leave a mess. I will say that the cost of recycling documents is rising faster than the price of gas over a holiday weekend. Our shredder went down last year. A claim was filed against the warranty and while they were processing it (like snails) we piled up the paperwork that needed shredding. We reached out to Sierra Shred to come save us before a pile collapsed causing one of us to become a statistic. They were quick to schedule a service time and gave a reasonable quote. The men who provided service were nice and professional and even showed us how the truck worked. We were able to watch on screen that everything was completely crossed cut, confetti like shredding. It took them minutes to clear out the stacks and it ended up being cheaper than what was quoted (who doesn't like to save money?).
