Hmmm. Seems my first 5 star review from last year is no longer online?!? 2/18/24 update..I still love them and the quality of the meats, cheeses, and imports......but.... The recipe called for 16oz grated Pecorino Romano. I knew I wanted Locatelli and they had it. Getting all my other ingredients measured and weighed first, I just tossed the 1# bag of grated cheese on the scale, and it was light. I figured I didn't zero out the tare weight, so made sure the scale was empty, reset to zero and tossed it back on. Still light by almost an ounce. Maybe they didn't reset their scales?? I don't know, but from now on I'll ask them to weigh anything I pull out of the coolers they sell by the pound. I'll also double check when I get home on my known accurate scale. I'm hoping this is a once and done honest mistake. read more

My friend and I were looking for a source for Halavah(a candy made from sesame seeds and other ingredients. She got a recommendation from another friend. So off we went to Sigmones Mediterranean on Rte 52. They had 3 flavors and the price was right. I also bought Large olives 1/2 stuffed with garlic and 1/2 stuffed with proscuitto. And a container (small) of calamari salad that I had to get after tasting a sample. They have a fabulous selection of cheeses. I got cheddar with carmelized onions and smoked gouda with pistachio. They even had chicken livers-which I had to get to make chopped liver-don't squish your nose- it's delisheous and is Jewish pate. I will have to go back to see everything. read more

Fabio's Produce on route 54 sells these exact same products for $5.99 and $9.99 You better believe that Fabio's is making a profit. Jimmy is just robbing us or just over pricing!! Crook!! He now charges 3 percent extra when you pay with a credit card!!!! WTF. I am a widow and he charges more money for cold cuts if you don't buy a pound. I don't need a pound of roast beef, salami or sliced cheeses . Why charge the customer more money for buying a half pound. Once again he doesn't care about the customer, just the money!! For ten years he has not changed the display of his salads. Times change, newer foods come out and he stuck with the same bull. I am done with his greedy ways. read more

I've been going there off-and-on throughout the years and, throughout that time, I wasn't once disappointed with the quality of its products and the quality of its personnel. The imported Italian cheese selection there is nowhere to be found anywhere else around the Hudson/Port Richey area. The Boar's Head cold cuts are as fresh as can be and sliced to your request, no questions asked. The CENTO products run the gamut. The meat section features the finest cuts of meats. I was looking for a butcher shop in Hudson, FL and came across this place. I am so glad I did. While it isn't big on fresh cuts of meats, it does have quite a lot of selection. Most of the beef is USDA choice, they do have a few cuts of USDA Prime. They sell Boar's Head deli meats (delish) and several different kinds of cheeses including COOPERS! Coopers sharp white american cheese tastes like the white american we had at our Grandmothers in Philadelphia. They have a interesting selection of frozen meats: alligator, pork belly, chicken wings, very thin sliced rib eye for cheese steaks, and much more. They have a lot of frozen pre-made meals that look fantastic, as well. I am a loyal customer and will continue to shop here. read more

It is a bit of a drive for me, but again, if it is worth the drive (and it is) I will go. The store is SUPER CLEAN! This was my first impression and my last impression. While the market is Greek-centric, they have an unbelievable selection of food. Both frozen and refrigerated. Exotic meats (python filets, alligator, venison...) to seafood to chicken. PLUS they have copious different point sized premade soups to take home. Their deli counter and butcher counter are second to none. If you want it, they probably have it!! Super friendly staff from the deli clerks, to the cashier, everyone smiles Nd makes you feel at home and WELCOMED!!! Here is the catch; you pay for what you get. If you do not want to interact with others and don't care about cleanliness, keep going to Publix, WalMart and WinDixie. This little market is special and great. They have some items that you will not find anywhere else and the quality is excellent. My girlfriend Sonja found an item that she had bought for years up in Pennsylvania at Sigmone's, it is called Cooper's Sharp American Cheese. This stuff is amazing. If you were taking a blind taste taste you would swear you were eating a white cheddar. It is very creamy and melts easily and so it is just perfect for making great grilled cheese sandwiches. I tried to find Cooper's at all the local grocery stores and even tried Walmart and Sam's Club but had no luck. I did see you could order it from Amazon but I think I'd rather find it locally if possible. Try this cheese! It's really good stuff! Other items you will find in the Deli are the selection of olives. The green queen stuffed olives with with either blue cheese or feta cheese stuffing are decadent and delicious. The Greek olives are salty savory and very good. They also have all kinds of dried salami and pepperoni.
