Went there today and noticed that they allow people into your store who were NOT wearing masks. By doing so, they put the people who are respectful and courteous towards others, to breathe in the expelled air from those w/o masks. Shame on you. This is a VERY unhygienic practice that you allow. This is no different than if they were to allow someone with a cold and the flu to come in and sneeze all over your customers - only this is much worse! Not sure how the first review got deleted, fishy. Anyway let me post it a second time. I bought a package deal about 2 months ago for $150.00. With all the meats gone at Publix I decided to give this place another shot, well they are obviously capitalizing on the shortage of goods on the shelves due to Covid-19. That same package is price gouged at an increase of $30.00. Sad, but you think local small establishments would be there for there customers during extremely tough times but not this place. All you people buying from this place should remember this when the tide turns. SAD. Won't go back again considering all the people that filed for unemployment can't afford this place. read more

Found this butcher shop and was happy to see full service shop in Pasco county, amazing looking meat counter, purchased 4 New York Strips, 4 pound rump roast, 4 thick cut pork chops, 4 pounds ground chuck, and 4 pounds of chicken breasts and 2 chopped steaks, total was $134.00 Found rump roast to be extremely tough, even though I have a meat slicer, Strip steaks were not tender at all even as I cook them medium rare, Personally I will not go back, as there Prices were were not anything special, Guess it's back to Publix for me. read more

Please be careful at checkout. Overcharging seems to be a practice and here is how it works. You order for example half pound of domestic genoa salami to start. The employee puts it in a basket for you. When done he tells you the basket number and directs you to the cashier. You pay and find the receipt gives no information on what you purchased. Example "1 cold cuts 2.75" Well which cold cut was 2.75 and how did "1 cold cut 10.76" cost that much and you don't even know what cold cut it was. Shop where your items are listed and bagged in a zip lock with a label and be sure. read more

I have been going here since I lived in Florida 20 yrs ago. I make a trip down every year to stock my freezer. They have it all. I like you can also pick up some frozen things it saves time and the stuffed grouper is one of our faves. I think I will die if they ever close. read more

The mediocre rating is not for the product itself--everything I've ever purchased has been top notch. The substandard rating is due to the fact that pre-ordering and pre-paying customers must still take a number and wait behind people who have not yet paid, and have not even made a selection. With the times being what they are, and considering that the store is so small (with many customers and employees NOT even wearing a mask), my aim is to get out QUICKLY and SAFELY. So it seemed very sensible to pre-order and pre-pay. The first time I did it, all went smoothly. I called ahead, confirmed my order was ready, and prepaid by phone, with the receipt being promptly texted to me. I was able to get into the checkout line immediately, was handed my bag, and out the door I went. When I went in again today, I had to take a number and wait, and there were unmasked customers in front of me AND behind me, NOT keeping their distance (I was wearing a mask). I waited a few minutes, all the while dodging careless customers. Then I asked an employee if I could cancel my order and just get a refund. She asked me to wait just a moment. A few minutes later she brought me my bag of meats. I believe she did this very quickly because I was about to cancel my order and get refunded. This never should have happened. There needs to be one of two options for people who don't want to have an unsafe experience--have a sign advising that prepaid customers report to a designated checkout lane with their receipt ready, without pulling a ticket, and cashier will hand them their bag and send them on their way. Option 2: Prepaid customers can have items brought to their vehicle. Incidentally, the marked spaces outside the store that are supposed to be 6 feet apart are definitely less--about 3 to 4 feet at most. When the employee brought me my bag, she appeared irritated. So I will be shopping for my meat at Publix from now on, where there is consideration for people's safety. read more

I called to ask if they carry a particular cheese. The answering machine picked up and stated due to the virus, they are not answering the phone and to come the store! STUPID! Plus I find most of the food is over priced. They have a terrible return policy. The deli section has not been updated ever! read more

I really like this butcher shop/italian market. For Pasco county, they are on top of my list when I need to get meat.

I thought they were a nice little place but the lady had a hard hard New York , New Jersey accent. Very harsh and matter a fact. I went in to buy pork belly. I called and they said they had some but forgot to say it was frozen. Being a fresh butcher shop you think everything is fresh. Not here. Everything comes in a box from the freezer. I made a huge mistake And like an idiot I bought the frozen pork belly. It was hard to see what it looked like but when I thawed it it was mostly fat and not much meat at all. You really could not call it pork belly. It was $ 2.99 lb for fat. They should be ashamed selling such inferior product. I would not dare and ask for a refund because the lady at the front might reach through the phone and tear my head off so LESSON LEARNED. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Excellent butcher with a nice deli section, reasonable prices and very good service. Some nice prepared items as well. They always have 2 kinds of home made soup that are always very good. I especially like their lemon chicken soup. The place gets very crowded during snowbird season but they do a very good job of keeping up. read more

I find that Acropolis is the BEST butcher shop/deli/store in town. I feel when I consume their meats and other products me and my family are safe - as opposed to other places i,e, super markets where in truth we have NO clue where the meats and other products come from. I highly recommend Acropolis on State Rd 52 in Hudson, Florida. The best butcher / deli. I get the best compliments from my guests when I use Acropolis. Great service, great prices, and great food.

Fine selection of products but my first taste was rib eye steaks. I was apprehensive when I saw them as they didn't look like regular rib eyes as there was not much marbelling. I think they were some other cut as they were tough and chewy. Haven't cooked the Hawaiian chicken yet. read more
