When I was…read morein an accident in Lubbock, the on-scene police officers had my vehicle towed to Lubbock Wrecker Service (LWS), but my insurance company (USAA) needed the vehicle at Gerber Collision so USAA attempted to have it towed using A&J Towing. Between LWS arguing about money and A&J's rude customer service my experience has been far from satisfactory. Firstly, the communication is completely unacceptable. I haven't received any updates and I am constantly having to track down people who want to their job. The inability to provide reliable service with basic common courtesy is deplorable. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Secondly, the customer service was terrible. The A&J Towing dispatcher (claimed to be Owner) was rude and unhelpful when I called to inquire about the delay. Instead of providing an update or apology, I was met with impatience and a lack of concern for my predicament. She only wanted to blame me. To top it all off, the price charged by LWS to simply tow (like 10 miles) the vehicle was exorbitant ($400) and far above the reasonable local expectation. This kind of price-gouging is unethical and left a very sour taste in my mouth. Overall, my experience with Lubbock Wrecker Services and A&J Towing have been horrendous. Slow response time, poor customer service, careless handling of my vehicle, and outrageous pricing are just a few of the reasons why I will never use their services again. I highly advise others to look elsewhere for towing and transport needs. It's unfathomable that LWS would risk their companies' customer's satisfaction over a measly $400 dollars, especially when a reputable insurance company is footing the bill, but here we are. Additionally, A&J Towing and Transporting's customer service is horrendous. If the representative was the owner then enough said.

I didn't expect free service considering they did have to come out but the rate should be different. The driver advised me it would be the same rate for anything within the loop. Yet, the original destination was outside the loop. So if that's the case shouldn't the rate be lower? I called the office to confirm and was told that's the rate for anything within Lubbock not necessarily just inside the loop. So, okay, contradicting information. First, when the owner called me to set up the time, he was completely rude. Correcting me on the size of the trailer that I had rented from another company, he insisted twice that I was wrong. I eventually had to blow him off in mid conversation because of it. Second, he would not acknowledge the charity that I was wanting half my stuff delivered to. I had to force the issue. They were hired to load my trailer and take half my stuff to a charity that I chose. This was a very simple move for them to complete. But when I was telling them where I wanted my stuff donated, they requested that I give them the donations for their own charity. While this charity is a worthy charity, it has nothing to do with their company, just someone that works there deals with it. They were so insistent and repeated themselves over and over about it that I felt obligated. Very unprofessional.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding our recent experience with the service department. We've…read morebeen long-time Lincoln owners and have consistently recommended the brand to friends specifically because the service at Gene Messer has historically been phenomenal. First, I want to say thank you to our new advisor, Michael Calderon. Our previous advisor, Barbara, spoke very highly of him before she left, and she was right--Michael truly goes above and beyond for his clients. He has earned a 5-star rating from us on his survey, and we look forward to working with him moving forward. We also continue to appreciate Michael Purser for his help with OEM parts pricing, and we remain loyal to the dealership because we trust Calvin and Anulfo implicitly with our vehicles. However, I have to express my disappointment regarding a recent decision made by Michael Pugh. We brought in both our Navigator and MKZ for service simultaneously ahead of a road trip. With our 2003 Excursion also in your shop (and our 2005 Excursion at another facility), we were effectively left without a vehicle. Despite having multiple loaners visible on the lot, our request for a day loaner was declined by Mr. Pugh. In the past, we've always been accommodated with a loaner or a ride, and being denied that courtesy--especially while having three vehicles in for service at once--made this experience feel unacceptable. To be clear, Michael Calderon did his best to help us; the roadblock came from the service manager. We stay with Gene Messer because of the talent in the garage and the effort from advisors like Calderon and Purser. But honestly, if we had another local option for Lincoln service, this experience would have pushed us to switch. We love the Lincoln brand, but the service experience is a primary selling point for us. If the service manager makes it difficult to maintain our fleet, we may have to consider other brands in the future.
