Today was my 3rd trip (in last 5) to find the store closed with a handwritten "Back at 1" sign. When I told her I was upset today, she asked if there was a sign on the door - as she just came in at 1. If there was a sign on the door, you were the person to have removed it. She then blamed the "other girl who works here" for leaving early. Are the lights usually off and the door locked when you get there at 1? Edit: Multiple pieces of clothing damaged in May and June 2014. Dry Cleaning in The Woodlands has been a big problem issue for me for years. Many dry cleaners take you to the cleaners by not quoting you prices and/or then surprising you with exorbitant prices at pick up time for their dry cleaning services. I have had the employees write the prices down on my ticket and upon picking up my clothes was demanded to pay higher prices. So battles ensued. I won but what an effed up company. How about getting your men's shirts back and feeling like rigor mortis set in permanently??? Do you like your men's shirts faded, buttons smashed, clothes permanently ruined? How about your men's shirts coming back smelling like more BO then when you took them in??? I'm sure an all time favorite is your dry cleaning coming back reeking with so much dry cleaning solution you're afraid to wear your now chemical, toxic clothing! I've been using Premier Cleaners for several months now and HALLELUJAH everything has come back PERFECT!!! They are a nationwide franchise kind of business. This is the only one I have been to. They have a friendly staff which makes it a pleasure going to plus they speak English. The negatives: There is no a/c so it gets real warm in the middle of the summer dropping off or picking up your clothes. Plus a bit tricky pulling in off Sawdust. Prices as of this review: Men's shirts $1.25. Dry cleaning for clothes $1.99 each piece. This means men's and women's suits are only $3.98 and women's dresses are $1.99 dry cleaned. I needed a cost-effective way to get my daughter's wedding dress cleaned for sale. Having never done this before, on the Internet I found a HUGE variation in cost, some places having the audacity to say that the charge would be $400 or more without having seen the dress. I took it in to Signature Avenue Cleaners and after looking at what had to be done, they gave me a good price. Having a compulsive perfectionist personality, when I went to pick up the dress I noticed a small area on the hem that did not seem clean enough; maybe it was for most people, but the owner took it back and went the extra mile to make sure that the dress was cleaned to my satisfaction! I am posting some images of the cleaned dress. I like the owner, employees, prices and aura of this place; decent people working hard to make a living. I will definitely go back! Incidentally, I wondered about the glaring one star review on the YELP first page and the images at the top of the page from this complaint. Is it fair to put a bad review first when good reviews (including mine) are lower down? Is this how YELP considers itself to be objective? This bad review was by a person from over a year ago who complained about the lining of the jacket being torn by the cleaners. I investigated (direct communication) and found out that the fabric was very old; from prior experience this type of material becomes very brittle with age and tears easily. I think he had an obligation to tell the cleaners that the fabric was so old so that some other form of cleaning would make tearing less likely. After discussing this fundamental flaw in his review, I expected him to remove the bad review (because it was not the fault of the cleaners), but he refused. What a difference since the last review!! Although ownership has not changed, the up front personnel has. I am recognized by name, friendliness, and genuine conversation during drop off and pick up. Have not had any timing related or mistaken items picked up. I took a chance to return because they are definitely the most cost effective cleaners where I'm located. Took a woman's business jacket in for cleaning. When we got it back the liner was full of tears many of which were not on seams. Before we took the jacket in my wife's hands slid down the sleeves with no problems. The very first time she wore it after we picked it up her fingers caught several of these tears . I want to thank the manager for his rude behavior that prompted me to find a new dry cleaners that is cheaper, does a good job, and opens on time. I am no longer late to work due delays at the cleaners! I have been going to this cleaners for over 10 years (it had a different name/owner previously). In the past year it has really gone downhill: 1. They staple the tags directly to my clothing despite multiple requests not to do so. 2. I have waited up to 15 minutes past the posted opening time of 6:30 am for anyone to show up to take my order despite the "Open" sign being on." This has made me late to work on several occasions. 3. The final straw was an incident in which the manager could not find my clothes so I had to make an extra trip there today. I arrived at 6:28 am. Rather than being greeted with, "Sorry you had to make an extra trip," the manager stated that he would have to lock the door in the future because it was not acceptable for me to show up before 6:30 am. Late to work AGAIN due to the extra trip. I will not be returning after being a loyal customer for over 10 years with about 28 items per week. read more

The first one was when I had drop my clothes off on a Friday I went on a Monday to pick it up and they told me it still was not ready when it was actually supposed to be ready for pickup on Saturday they gave me a discount the next time I had went which was forgivable. the last time one of my clothes was badly stained and they tried to clean it but when I got it today it was torn at the Stitch I was ready to leave my clothes but I just walked out with my clothes continuing the search for a reliable dry cleaners. Again I have been going to the same dry cleaners for over a year so it is bad that they are losing regulars. very nice people but the service of the actual clothing is not acceptable. Signature Avenue Cleaners, un-apologetically, put a 7 inch tear in one of my blouses. They told me that their machine sometimes does this to "older clothes." As this is a relatively new blouse, that explanation does not apply in my case. As I pressed for some kind of resolution, they reluctantly offered a $40 credit on my next cleaning. When I explained that this was an $80 blouse (which I have a receipt for), the employee shrugged her shoulders and said that was their policy. I was not even offered a refund of the cleaning I had already paid for. Not only was the blouse ripped, it was filthy! Had they had one ounce of empathy, I may have given them another chance, but their rudeness and lack of remorse or decent customer service will keep me away - I don't want others to get ripped off at this business. We have been going to Premier Cleaners for over 5 years - recently they upgraded to a computer and I was very shocked to see an additional fee on my ticket. I spoke with the manager who stated that now that they are using the computer, they are charging everyone an additional 17% to help make up the cost of the chemical recycling fee. I feel this is ridiculous to try and sneak in an extra 17% without letting the customers know first. When I get my oil changed they charge $1 to recycle my oil... 17% is outrageous! After being referred to Signature Avenue Cleaners, I have looked no more. I get my work uniforms cleaned there every week. I can always count on the work to be quality, ready when promised and pay a reasonable price. It appears that the management has changed. I had several shirts ruined by stains that looked like their machine dumped bleach on them. The owner denied it and stated that they were brought to him this way. Then, finally the owner agreed to pay about $30 for $120 worth of dress shirts. When I came back to get the shirts and take him up on his offer, the shirts were no where to be found and neither was the owner. His workers put up quite the smoke screen for him. I have attempted to get Jonathan, Mgr. to assist me with my bed comforter that I took in for cleaning. It shrunk so bad I can't use it anymore. It was for my kingsize bed and now won't even work on my gueen guest bed. I love sheets & have 5 sets for my summer comforter & likewise for my winter comforter. I shopped around & found a replacement cover that cost $200.00 and I asked to be reimbursed for half which I personally don't think is too much to ask. Haven't heard a word back from them. Oh BTW read the back of your ticket. There is a disclaimer that you didn't know was there & printed so light that it's almost too hard to read. Since the new owner took over this location, I have had one dress/work garment ruined per month. After two months, I will not be returning. Their customer service rep states they have several garments per month and they expect some human error. I have visiting this location for at least eight years when under different management and never had ruined garments. So disappointed!! read more

I read reviews very frequently before visiting any unfamiliar place and was doing so when I found this facility. I was search for dry cleaning services for our clothing because we recently relocated to the Woodlands area. My spouse has very expensive clothing as well as I, therefore trusting a dry cleaning facility is vital to us. We decided to test them out and took a simple Michael Kors button down shirt in there for service . The shirt needed a new button sewn on , in addition to cleaning so I explained these things to the young lady at the counter also pointing out that there are two addition buttons at the bottom of the shirt for them to use for sewing ( Some expensive shirts come with 1 to 2 additional buttons on the bottom flap for replacement if any is missing). She stated that she would note it down and took the shirt. I noticed that they make you pay before the service is rendered which should have been a red flag to me however I allowed her to take the shirt for service. The shirt was due for pick up the next business day at 5 however I came in a day later. Upon arriving, the gentleman at the counter pulled the shirt from the line of clothing and we noticed that it wrinkled terribly on the right shoulder, in addition to that, the button was not sewn on. He asked us to come back the NEXT day and it would be done. I came back the following day and when picking up the shirt, I notice the button was sewn on very loosely and poorly . Also that they did not use the extra buttons on the shirt for replacement, instead they used their own which was clearly visible that it was a different button. You cannot take a quality shirt with quality buttons and think you can blend in a cheap button! He offered to redo it but at this point I did not trust them to do anything further especially not cutting the additional button loose and sewing it back on. I was highly disappointed and would not recommend this dry cleaning facility to anyone, especially if you have expensive clothing. Their reviews were pretty good but I discovered that this is not the case. We will be traveling back across town to our old cleaners who we trust. read more
