I've been a resident at Alexan Gateway since August and I've yet to have a complaint. My apartment is lovely. I feel safe every night when I go to sleep and have no worries with my car. The amenities are lovely! Gym , Pool & lounge areas are top notch. The staff members are sweet and welcoming. So I would suggest anyone to book a showing and finalize a move in if you're new in the area or looking for an apartment that's affordable and luxurious. We recently resigned our lease because we were told there wasn't going to be construction happening outside of our apartment, which was a huge indicator on whether or not we would resign given that we work nights. We were told that the construction would be happening on the opposite end from us, and we were able to make do with that since we assumed the noise would be minimal. There was pressure for us to resign the lease within a week in order to get a "deal" on our lease renewal, which we ended up resigning before the deadline to lock in our deal. A few days later, the construction started directly outside of our building. We're approaching about 3 weeks of construction happening directly outside of our apartment. Given how expensive the rent is here and the blatant lie that was told to us just to maintain an occupied unit, I wouldn't recommend dealing with these deceitful leasing people. The actual apartment itself is gorgeous but be prepared to pay $300 for parking a month and for your walls to be shaking from the construction every morning at 7 a.m. for the next year... read more

Update: Still really happy with the experience. A few highlights for anyone considering moving in: 1. The community is pretty friendly and welcoming--like, you actually get to know your neighbors, which is rare these days. 2. There's a nearby dog park walking distance away, a playground and a BBQ area where families hang out, and lots of pet-friendly spaces. There are hidden art galleries in every building, which is a really cool feature I haven't seen in any other luxury apartments. 3. The pool is clean and maintained, and the game room/lounge is a great spot to work remotely. Plus, love the free coffee in the lounge and the gym is really well maintained and well designed. The rooftop has an incredible view of Mount Rainier! 4. The building hosts a lot of casual events too, like bbq's and ice cream socials, which is a fun touch. 5. Some people might be concerned about the road nearby, but I haven't found the noise to be really an issue--it's not any louder than an apartment in a major city or suburban downtown area. 6. Parking is getting much more manageable, and they're actively expanding parking areas near the building, which is going to be helpful. 7. The area has been pretty safe, rapidly growing, and cool! You will have to drive to most places like shopping centers, major freeways, restaurants, and other essentials (or take the bus, which isn't too bad since a bus stop is across the street, and they just built a new train station walking distance away that will end in Seattle). 8. When something comes up--like power, weather or water issues--the office does a pretty good job of keeping residents in the loop. 9. Maintenance has been a standout! I once had a small issue (just needed a lightbulb changed in a hard-to-reach fixture), and a team member came out to help the same day! That kind of dedication really stood out! 10. The valet trash service is super convenient, and the package room is clean, secure, and well organized. I've never had anything go missing. Overall, this place feels more like a community than just a luxury apartment complex. Highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about moving here. read more

Very tragic that this place did not meet our expectations. We had called to ask for information about these apartments sadly we didn't get anyone on the phone. When walking into the office three employees were chatting with one another. A young lady who introduced herself as the office manager seemed annoyed with having to show us around her demeanor was very discomforting. From what we learned the apartments are newly built which is shocking to hear while showing us the workout room the mini fridge was empty, the bathrooms did not have any towels to dry our hands, and walking to the apartment the hallways had garbage outside of a front door the smell was unpleasant. A few dissatisfactions that are important to the eye of any buyer. We are in the process of helping our son find a place to call home and driving up to Alexan Gateway was very promising walking into the office it was a different experience. I asked how the application process works and I was brushed off to check the website I would like to add that my husband and I are not very tech savvy, although we visited last week I decided before going back to Wisconsin to help voice the overall experience. Hoping that a little feedback from a client who has realtor experience can help to make positive improvements. Managers should be the example not take part in the distraction of their employees. Moving can be super stressful when my husband and I started the process of moving into Alexan Gateway everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. the office staff was amazing! they were on top of everything, communication was on point! the energy in the office was everything. Happy people make other people happy they definitely know how to lift someone up when they are sad. The office staff they were so kind and very welcoming. My husband and I worked with Whitney who is AMAZING! she never gave my husband and I the run around straight to the point we need this and this! even during the waiting process she emailed us to give us updates of our application process. She was so patient with us when it came to somethings we were missing. My husband and I love Whitney! The units are breathtaking, clean, quiet and FUN! the Alexan Gameroom is a must see! the gym is beautiful I don't even workout but now I want to work out. I feel so safe at Alexa Gateway they have a secure entry for every building. The neighbor's are so kind. Alexan Gateway is family friendly. I love it here! read more

This place is not bad at all to live, it's the leasing office team that make you feel uncomfortable, and you need to worry about... they play favorites with the residents and definitely some racial profiling. I have walked to the gym multiple times to get in my workout and sadly they were loud enough for me to hear the leasing team speak badly about the residents who live here. Something, I know you should not be doing as a property manager. Yes, I chose to live here because I was given a wonderful tour by 1 of the 5 or 6 that work there and now, I learned that she no longer is employed at Alexan Gateway... that is very concerning knowing she was the best worker there and would explain and help me with all my problems. All other employees would stare me up and down and other residents, as if you had to look a certain way or meet there look expectations to even be considered stepping into the leasing office and get help. Another thing I struggled with after their leasing agent that helped me, left the property was getting my phone calls answered. I watched from my car, parked right Infront of the leasing office calling and calling just to see from the window that the leasing office were all chatting it up and ignoring my calls until the agent Viola answered. Also please expect to pay an extra $300 + + on top of your rent, electricity bill, and garbage, which is not optional and could possibly be missed to be picked up from your front door. Oh!! and a $5 fee to use a service that you surprisingly did not agree on and an extra $10 fee on top of paying your rent online. you are paying double everything basically with the hidden fees, this should not be a resident's responsibility as we only rent there not own the building(s). in my past apartments/ condos I would rent from, I would only have to pay Rent, Parking, and electricity. looking forward to looking for a new apartment because I am currently not being helped even with emails I sent out. it's a joke and disgusting to be taken advantage like this. I now understand why these new built apartments are so empty, not to mention that the rent is super high for KENT, WA... it's definitely crazy. Something has to be done, these are problems and things that are currently happening and its way to soon, they shouldn't be happening to begin with. read more

When the leasing team is aware that the payment portal isnt working properly, or when the lockers arent working properly they do not send out any communication. You cant trust the leasing team to have your back. They are only looking out for their own. DONT GET ANY MEDICATION DELIVERED TO YOUR APARTMENT BECAUSE WHEN THE LOCKERS ARE DOWN AND THE LEASING TEAM IS AWARE, THEY DONT EMAIL THEIR RESIDENTS. BUT they DID send out a mass email reminding everyone that there are only TWO GUEST SPACES FOR PARKING and after the 15th any guests will be towed..... funny what they choose to communicate huh? read more
