Sure, that was part of it - but a lot of attorneys I spoke to elsewhere really didn't sound like they were hopeful or knew how to help. Many of the "regular" attorneys I spoke to seemed preoccupied with their fee and, I suspected, may have even been increasing their retainer because I was low income and they wanted assurance of being paid. I get it - everyone should be paid for their services - but I felt like I would be better off spending their retainer on a hotel. LSNV were the only ones who actually listened to my story and understood that I did need help. When they reviewed my case again and were able to take me on. The attorney was incredible; she was highly intelligent, well-organized, reassuring, and quick-thinking.
