My husband and I have 4 dogs (that we spoil like they are our children) and we instantly felt comfortable sending our elderly dog (along with some props) with Krista for the morning. A few hours later Krista returned our extremely happy Ella after visiting downtown Austin, the green belt and wildflower fields. A few hours later, Krista gave us a sneak peak of some of the unedited photos. As soon as we saw how talented she is we asked her to book us to take more pics of our other dogs. Today Krista dropped off Ella's hardback book, and wow!!!! She truly captured her young-at-heart spirit. I'm not sure how she got so much energy and variety of facial expression in one morning from our girl, but I could not be happier with the quality of the pictures and the book! For our second session we asked Krista to take pictures of our two American Bulldogs at our house. Taking pictures of these two children is no simple task... One is a 17 month old female, 95lbs and in heat....and the other is 22 month old male and 85lbs... We got to watch Krista in action with our pups and she truly is some kind of dog-whisperer! My dog is friendly senior dog and I consider him a bolter (not so good off leash)but she was able to take him out and get him to obey her commands which resulted in AMAZING photos!!! I liked working with Jessica, because she is up front on her pricing model. I had several photographers quote a base service fee and then misleadingly share that products including digital files would be an additional hundreds of dollars. This was not the case with Jessica as her fee covers downloading the digital gallery. On the day of, we arrived at her studio and easily found parking on the street. There is a tiny parking lot in her building but there was street parking available. She had set the heat on a cold day and even started playing baby music on her Alexa for our son. The shoot was efficient and she made our son laugh several times. We received the edited photos within a week and they were adorable. We've gotten a lot of compliments on them already!

With a newborn and a husband back at work, Debra worked with our schedule to get us into her amazing studio. I think "amazing studio" is an understatement. She has transformed her home into a place where magic happens. As an art major myself, the numerous backdrops, floors, lighting options, and props galore made me want to spend the day there just looking at everything! Speaking of, we actually DID spend the day there. Our little girl might not have been the most cooperative but Debra has been called the "baby whisperer" for good reason! It took my husband and I by surprise to see Debra work her baby magic since we have been dealing with an ongoing fussy period for weeks now. And, while it took a good handful of hours to get the perfect pics, it was worth every second. I couldn't help feeling giddy as we watched Debra gently position her in adorable baskets under huge studio lights, wrapped into the most angelic moments. Debra calmed all anxieties that I had going into a newborn photo shoot, and honestly, fears that most new parents would have. We had a 10am appt, and at 9:51am, she emailed me to say she wasn't coming because a. she didn't have confirmation from me, and b. she didn't have my address. I have every email we exchanged saved, and I have proof that a. I confirmed on Sunday the 1st and b. I had given her the address immediately after booking on 9/19. I immediately emailed her back, as well as calling several times and texting. I sent her the screen shots of these emails and explained, via all these channels, that I was heartbroken. I had gotten up extra early to get my entire family ready for photos, which is no small task when you are getting no sleep with a newborn and have a toddler to contend with as well. I was SO looking forward to capturing these photos, as my daughter was born early and was already on the "older" side for newborn photos. I still have not heard back from her in any way, shape, or form. So unprofessional, disrespectful, hurtful, and just rude. This is certainly not a woman who should be running her own business, let alone catering to brand new parents who are already in a fragile state of mind.

The site also gives the impression that you're paying for more than 15 photos. This price is outrageous for the quality of work and only 15 photos?? save your money, book a college kid who will bust there butt at half a price to give you your moneys worth. I love to see my daughter happy but even she can see this photo shoot was very lazy and just a money grab.
