In all the sales that I have been through, I have noticed a lot of amazing little things; not only…read moredo they make sure that you don't trip when there are stairs, but they also make sure to put down yellow tape, no it's not sticky yellow tape that you can't get up as its easily removable. There are also cones that are orange scattered around everywhere that have a step. You are always greeted when you come in through the door, and there are signs everywhere that tell you where to go and people who help you with any questions. Mind you, they are a small business that is just working its way up, so there will always be some kinks to work out. The prices are more than fair compared to retail, with examples of used toys for literally a dollar or 50 cents for puzzles. Mind you this is all used items with prices lower than what the buyer would have spent. So you're not always going to get it for "free," so to speak. But it will be better than a Goodwill or auction place, and more often than not, the items are well taken care of. The owner is super apologetic and sweet. I've noticed many times that she has assisted others or had family members assist people out to their cars with items they have purchased. As one reviewer said, the bins are hold bins, and people aren't always honest, so sometimes things can get taken out of the bins, and it happens. But it also happens at retail stores and literally anywhere else you go with shopping carts, even though I have had it happen to me before at stores, i just move on. However and nonetheless once again i am extremely impressed with the services they have rendered in the past and will continue to visit their sales, they are a winner in my book. They made a fair up front offer, cleared out the house and anything that couldn't be sold in their store was donated or taken to the dump. This service gave us tremendous peace of mind to know that it was handled. There was another service that wanted a sizable up front retainer and a 60/40 split on a 3 day sale. That model didn't work for us and the net swing was thousands of dollars in our favor. In addition, Brenda Hannon helped us sell a car and only charged a modest commission. I understand the rational, to protect the interest of the sellers. But the fact is, the reserves are too high.
