One thing that I appreciated hearing from her is that anytime I needed a break, I could let her know. That gave me a lot of ease and I felt comfortable telling her when I needed a break or when things were too much. She's very intuitive in that way. She let the bridal party take breaks and she checked in with me when needed about what was next. She worked well with other vendors. Her close up photography is outstanding with details...ties, jewelry, vows, you name it. Outstanding and incredible. Overall, communication was decent leading up to the wedding. She reliably responded to emails within 24 hrs business day which I appreciated because many of my vendors weren't that way. The not so good: Holly uses a clunky program to communicate via email with her clients. Even though she reliably responded within 24 hours, searching our emails with her and viewing things like our invoice and our contract was a pain. You have to create usernames and passwords, and reading previous emails with her were a mess to search and read. Her program isn't user/client friendly. I am totally 100% for businesses to document things in writing so I get why she uses the program, but it's just a poor program. The best case in point about this is that the program automatically generated an email to my fiance and I about a due final payment to be paid online. At first we thought this was helpful so we faithfully paid the remaining balance online. But then we got a panicked email from Holly saying our contract says we needed to pay cash or check and that there are huge service fees for paying credit card. It ended up being a huge pain for both us and Holly to figure out...we were irritated (as was she!) About the fact that we were asked to pay online by credit card. When I pay...I don't generally look back at the contract and read the fine print about whether to pay cash or check...not when I'm juggling multiple vendors and multiple contracts and payment due dates. The contract in it of itself is not easily accessible without having to dig In a myriad of emails to find the login for the website and then actually login. Finally, Holly's pricing covers up to 8 hours of photography. At the end of the day I kind of wish I went with a photographer that covered whole day photography instead. We had to pay an extra hefty sum to get Holly to stay and take pictures of our reception and our sparkler exit. The reception pictures we had to pay extra for were golden and so treasured because there were things that went on during our reception that we didn't even know but she captured wonderfully. The sparkler photos were kind of a disappointment and didn't look great (people were too spaced out, the framing of the photos were poor). The extra money we had to pay for Holly to stay a couple extra hours were worth it mostly for the dancing photos and group photos she took, but definitely not the sparkler photos...which kind of made me wonder if it would have been better for us to pay for a photographer that included whole day services. Overall we do recommend Holly as she is a great day of photographer. There are a couple things we wished were different but nothing absolutely groundbreaking. We received our photos about 1-2 months after our date and there were about 1,000 photos! Some of them were duds as expected but some will end up on the wall!

Additionally, we were looking for a photographer who was flexible and could produce non-traditional wedding shots to match a non-traditional wedding format. After looking through a lot of websites, we decided to go with JR. The experience could not have been better. JR arrived early to the venue to scout, was fun to work with and worked so long into the night we had to tell him to go home. JR brought his wife as a second shooter. Despite being a less experienced photographer, we were also impressed by her pictures, her warmth and professionalism. JR's has phenomenal attention to detail, and is a talented editor as evidenced by his post production work. JR not only captured the moment, he captured emotion and great beauty with his lens.

My experience with this photographer is that he wasn't attentive to the brides needs, he didn't communicate via email in an efficient manner on many occasions, he provided poor customer service and he broke his contract. In regards to my needs on my wedding day, I would expect any photographer to take control and have some sort of direction, but he didn't. As a bride, you want photo's for memories, but unfortunately, I barely have any photos of my side of the family from beginning to end on our wedding day. JR primarily took photos of my husband and I, and focused on my husband's side of the family, which is unacceptable since our wedding was small and intimate. He also does not appear to be creative editing or does not edit at all. In regards to him breaking his contract, his contract states that we would receive our edited photos within 90 days after our wedding, but after a couple emails from me, we finally received them 127 days later after our wedding. Although JR captured several special moments in his photographs, they do not encompass all the opportunities he should have provided as a professional wedding photographer. For any bride, you want or hope to have a great experience with the vendors you choose for your wedding day. My only regret is choosing JR since many of the special moments caught in photographs cannot be recaptured.

I went hoping for some sensual shots to use for my album release promotion. What I got was something reminiscent of mall glamour shots. I believe her services are too pricey for the quality offered in the end. There were over 90 shots, none of which I loved, but 14 I liked enough to try and salvage the shoot. In my package I paid for 7 and inquired about getting the extra 7. She snapped on me and told me to read my contract and that I was never promised any photos and that she doesn't give photos only products. She tried to just give me 7 shots printed in a book. Then she actually read the contract herself and realized I was entitled to 7 digital files. Now for the extra photos. I was already unhappy because I paid extra for a "video" which looked like one of my toddlers was holding the camera because she does not own any video equipment like a stabilizer. No lighting present at the shoot either, just good old fashioned sunlight. And nothing present to personalize the shoot. Same rug, same couch, same everything for each client. I was not interested in receiving the book. I didn't love the photos. I tried to take personal responsibility, like maybe I've got issues, but some are just poorly shot, missed moments, bad shadows. In the final edits of the 7 she decided she should give me, there where pronounced nipples and pubic hair left in the shot that caused my first promotional cover for my album to be rejected from the online store for nudity. I asked her to make things fair, to even the scale and make me feel like I didn't waste my time and $$$ just send me the raw files for the 14 pictures I liked. I'll get them edited myself. Easy right? Left click, email, boom! But no. Miss thang got big mad. And I don't know why? You can't please everyone. You did not please me. I offered a FREE way to settle this dispute but pride got in the way. Even ignored my lawyer's requests. So here I am warning anyone that takes their career seriously. Skip this stop. She's good for a sexy photo for ya man, but if you need anything to use in high resolution for professional campaigns it's a big NO from me.
