This is a fantastic store - well worth dropping in! All kinds of great finds. It seems to be listed as a souvenir shop or lady's clothing shop but is so much more than that! Purses, sandals, scarves, jewelry... Top quality clothes and fabrics. Silk is difficult to find in this area but I found many beautiful fabrics. Walking along the Lower Water St, I happened upon this shop. Upon entry there was this little women chatting to two customers who were looking to buy a large amount of bags of some sort. Anyhow, she still say hello to me in the middle of it all. I was pretty impressed with what she carried, a little of everything. She had some funky rain boots (on sale) and some really nice, almost clog type shoes, around $80.00 (sale). I knew this brand of shoe and had seen them at other stores. I liked her selection for such a small place. She also had all the usual jewellery and tourist things. This is a great little store and the lady who was working was really nice. read more

Again waiting for the bus stop this could be dangerous on a pay day. This little location has some wild what look like crock sandals but better. Really cool colour and designs are bright and loud. I like this little store and actually I did not notice this place before see what happens when you are with Yelp. Not only does it have some funky shoes they have sunglasses and Nick nacs. Jewelry fills the front counter and sunglasses. Kimono's as well are hung in the front that are brightly designed with beautiful details. Well, what a disappointment. I purchased my husband an Oscardo T-shirt with Haida graphics on it. He loved the shirt however the first time it was washed (gentle in cold water) it shrunk from an XL to about a M (I now have a new T-shirt and he has none). So, back to Silver Silk I went to purchase him a larger one so when it was washed, it would still fit. He takes an XL so I asked for a XXL. When he tried it on, it wasn't any larger than the XL. So back I went again to get the largest size they have. I was told by the dark haired lady behind the counter (not the manager) that the XXL was the largest. I explained that it isn't any larger than the XL. I asked for the info for the company that provides the shirts and she refused. I asked to speak with the manager, explained my situation, she also refused to provide the info on the manufacturer. When the dark haired lady finally processed my refund, she threw my receipt across the counter at me and never once made eye contact while mumbling under her breath. I will not go back there ever again. I found, through Google, the company name and I will be contacting them regarding the quality and sizing of their T-shirts.
